  1. Jazz just beat the Spurs by 13 in San Antonio.
  2. I think teams absolutely know going into Pistons games that Detroit is going to bring intensity and physicality, and that motivates them to bring something extra to match. Nobody is sleeping on Detroit. I see the evidence in post game comments by opposing coaches. Christie recently said he wants his team to "mirror" what Detroit brings.
  3. Morgan was mt Rushmore during the mid 70s. So fun to watch. I felt the same about Rickey Henderson
  4. Detroit just can't win in Utah. The Jazz played a very good game. Det had a chance.
  5. That's close to Michael Curry's career totals
  6. Just 2 weeks ago people were predicting OKC would win 75. Now I think I'd put SAS above them as the #1 team right now.
  7. SAS and OKC could rule the NBA for years. Wemby is 21 and turns 22 next week. Castle just turned 21. Harper is 19. OKC has 672 lottery picks in the coming years. Hopefully Detroit will be seeing them in the finals soon, maybe even this season
  8. I love fish and chips and get it often when eating out. Even fast food like Culver's has fish that's 1000 times better than long johns imho
  9. Really nice praise post game from Doug Christie
  10. There's a LJS in the mall of America 3-4 miles from my house. I've lived here 26 years and have never had their food
  11. He has looked sluggish to me this week. I have some concern he may wear down by the end of the season. Adding a true consistent scorer would help
  12. I watched it. I've been preparing for an OKC dynasty similar to GSW recent run. SAS is going to be right with them if Wemby stays healthy. The Spurs are crazy good. As decent a player as Holmgren is, Wemby is clearly on another level. And Wemby is starting to do some trash talking, which is fun to watch. Very confident player and he definitely backs it up. As soon as that game ended I watched the Pistons. Was impressed by Westbrook. Cade played well but I think he seems a little sluggish recently. I have some concern by the end of the season he may wear down. Harris sort of took over the closer role and it worked. Still seems that Detroit would greatly benefit by adding a legit gritty consistent scorer
  13. Yeah, very fortunate. Portland missed so many FT and Det also had some luck on their side. Portland has some talent. Their energy and focus comes and goes too often. Big games for JD and JT
  14. Don't forget Festivus!!
  15. So bummed right now. If they lose at Minnesota next week they'll be in the North cellar
  16. Could be the case. He turns 26 in about 6 weeks.
  17. I don't trust Boras but Tarik is genuine. He qas at multiple AZ fall league games. He's a very social and community oriented fella. Boras is still working Bregman and others. I doubt he instructed Tarik to go to these games.
  18. Rodgers wants tomorrow so bad. He recently called his hail Mary vs Det his favorite pass of his career. Detroit needs to play their A+ game tomorrow to keep the hope alive
  19. Skubal threw t-shirts at LCA today for MSU and then the Pistons. Tomorrow he'll be at the Lions game and the Red Wings.
  20. I would think Colorado will claim him. If not I don't see him falling past the Twins
  21. I think JHM will have some nice seasons in his career. Probably a 4th OF and DH, but he could be an .800+ ops guy. Good eye at the plate.
  22. Imho Cody gives unbiased opinions and I like that. He works for the Athletic and isn't a lifelong Tigers fan. He mentioned that he was told that the Detroit area goes nuts when the Tigers are good, and he hasn't experienced that. He pointed out that the playoff games haven't been sell outs. I wasn't aware of that. I remember in 1984 and 1987 having to enter a lottery to try and get tix, and I never did get to see a game in person. Cody is sort of flat in his expressions so some of the segments are boring to me
