With potential regression from Javy, McKinstry, Dingler. Maybe Dingler progresses. A lot of unknowns. I think Harris is making moves to try to win, but mostly to preserve the core future, his guys, and they'll start trickling in this season. Post Skubal there may be a drop off, but Harris is looking long term and sustainability under his system

That's awesome Bert! I had a similar experience (although mine was not in person) when I heard Marvin Gaye's rendition before the 1983 nba all-star game. It rocked my world and remains my favorite rendition, along with Jose's

He had some big hits for the Tigers. His playing time was I inconsistent with the big club. I think he has potential to be a .270/.370/.470 dh, which is decent but replaceable most free agency years. I wish him well. He's going to a good org.

You all passing over grown up Pebbles?

Okamoto to Toronto. I could see Harris being interested in Bichette, but with Torres I'd think not. Especially with Anderson, Lee and Jung still likely getting some time there to see what happens
-
I believe Harris will make longer offers to position players if that player fills a major need, and performs in step with Harris' philosophy. I don't see him going past 2, maybe 3 years to a pitcher. I did hear that he signed a personal 5-year membership with REI. So there's that.

If you include pitchers, Fidrych was at 12.0 at age 22. Newhouser would also make the list https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/f/fidryma01.shtml

1/1/26 7:00PM Heat 18-15 @ Pistons 25-8
papalawrence replied to Tigeraholic1's topic in Detroit Pistons
Miami matches up pretty well with Detroit. Similar style of play. And the beat coach. I tip my cap to them -
I'm beginning to think Harris' plan includes no pitchers get over 2 years and the starting rotation will consist of players under team control and perpetual patch work

Just watched Cleveland win in San Antonio by dbl digits. The Spurs have sloppy spurts. With OKC it's likely more about the match up. As for Cleveland, they are healthy now. They might go on a run

Unless you want to see Kawhi play a near flawless game. Might be a top 10-20 game I have ever seen
-
He has a player option close to 50 million. I don't see the Hawks getting much for him. Maybe an expiring and a lottery protected 1st
-
When he is healthy and focused Leonard is still a top 5 talent. That game was nuts. Cade scored all 27 of his points in the 2nd half. Hopefully they shoot better vs LAL

Dan Litwhiler. I'd never heard of him. Nice tribute https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1C7doJyeB3/

Jazz just beat the Spurs by 13 in San Antonio.

I think teams absolutely know going into Pistons games that Detroit is going to bring intensity and physicality, and that motivates them to bring something extra to match. Nobody is sleeping on Detroit. I see the evidence in post game comments by opposing coaches. Christie recently said he wants his team to "mirror" what Detroit brings.

Morgan was mt Rushmore during the mid 70s. So fun to watch. I felt the same about Rickey Henderson

Detroit just can't win in Utah. The Jazz played a very good game. Det had a chance.

That's close to Michael Curry's career totals

Just 2 weeks ago people were predicting OKC would win 75. Now I think I'd put SAS above them as the #1 team right now.
-
SAS and OKC could rule the NBA for years. Wemby is 21 and turns 22 next week. Castle just turned 21. Harper is 19. OKC has 672 lottery picks in the coming years. Hopefully Detroit will be seeing them in the finals soon, maybe even this season

I love fish and chips and get it often when eating out. Even fast food like Culver's has fish that's 1000 times better than long johns imho

Really nice praise post game from Doug Christie
