  1. I remember that!
  2. I do remember that but I also have incredible brain fog and an emerging case of prickly heat. For some reason Paul Gibson comes to mind, thinking maybe he pitched? I don't think that's a common occurrence, but I seem to recall it happening more than once. And this reminded me that the Pistons used to play an exhibition game at Calvin College. One year they played Cleveland and Foots Walker signed an autograph for me. What was the question?
  3. Based on my one encounter I also fear Nick Nolte's odor.
  4. Look at that line-up! Sure wish I could go back in time and take in a double header. Even with the smell of tobacco ash and urine that I would often permeate Tigers Stadium
  5. What at-bat? The only catcher at-bat I remember is Mike Heath swinging at a pitch over his head to complete a Randy Johnson no-no
  6. Rangers just lost again. Detroit starts this game as the final wild card team. Keep it going Jackson
  7. Toward the end of long careers a pitcher can become codgerly. Sometimes grumpy. And may smell of alcohol and doritos.
  8. I am at work and can't watch. So I hereby cast an absentee vote for keeping Jansen out of the game.
  9. My whole life I considered myself obsessed with stats. I no longer believe that. Some here are on an entirely different level, and I appreciate the content
  10. I have diarrhea today and I blame Cleveland. Only 2 remedies, a Tigers win today and more cowbell
  11. Zyhir is off to a slow start, 1-27. That one hit was a dinger. He'll settle soon and start raking
  12. .5 back in WC. Craziness. Tigers dna is craziness
  13. Heart attack......please no more Jensen as closer
  14. I've watched that clip 100 times. Never gets old
  15. Boston is peaking early though. No way they keep up this pace
  16. I had Chinese food for lunch and the fortune cookie read "odds for post season 68%" and my son's read "the Dodgers suck."
  17. All of Brady Smith's pitches Saturday. He has some gas and spin. If you've ever been to Yesterdog in Grand Rapids you've likely experienced gas and spin.
  18. The hi mound during the late 60s was sorta nuts.
  19. Potentially the Tigers recent farm could rival the mid 70s farm. Morris, Tram, Lou, Lance, Gibby, Petry. Just prior Fidrych, Kemp, LeFlore, Thompson.....vs....Dingler, Melton, Jobe, McGonigle, Clark. Maybe Lee, Keith....? And just prior Skubal, Greene, Mize. Good times
  20. Might this be the 4th straight series where the Tigers have a double-digit shutout victory?
  21. Tony Phillips was the first to come to my mind. I realize he played all over but that only added to his value. In his 5 seasons in Detroit he averaged 5+ WAR
  22. And Foul Territory national said months ago that Friedman said the Dodgers have already recouped anything owed to Ohtani from the Japanese markets. They are bringing in far more than any other team including the Yankees. 1.1 billion deferred. Not every owner can take those risks
