  1. I watched the LA 97.1 and Dodgers fans are pissed about it. That makes it worthwhile for me
  2. With McGonigle, Clark, Dingler, Greene, Melton, Jobe etc, I would think players would be more open to coming to Det if the money matches
  3. I'd love Harris/Illitch to be on board with 4/200 but Skubal will get double that
  4. I watched it from about the 8th inning on. Great game to watch and the right team won
  5. Foul Territory national went in depth to argue why the Dodgers offer was best. If Milwaukee wanted him they needed to add another top prospect.
  6. I hadn't heard of him before. Thanks for taking the time to keep posting this sort of news
  7. In 1869-70 the Cincinnati Red Stockings won 81 consecutive games. Jamie Moyer stopped their streak on June 14, 1870
  8. I don't disagree on Ryan's potential. Everyone, Skubal, Petry, Morris and all of the prospect sites raved about Jobe. "His stuff is different." Baseball America had Jobe #3 prospect overall prior to 2025. My disagreement is that Ryan isn't projected as being better than Jobe. They're both Tigers so it's all good for Detroit.
  9. Red Sox walk it off. J Jones and J Rogers played a role. The Red Sox are now 31-5 in their last 36
  10. Ryan is 28. Jobe came out of high school. I believe Jobe was a top 10 overall prospect by age 20. All that doesn't matter to me at all. They're both Tigers and hope they both stay healthy and thrive
  11. I was thinking Earl Campbell
  12. With Guardians loss Texas is now the 3rd WC and after today Det will be 1 game back
  13. Casey Mize 1st start in SD. 3 1/3, 9 hits, 3bb, 8 er. Guessing he's in his head way too deep right now
  14. That would be Sparky's inaugural season the the Tigers. Sorry to Less Moss
  15. Someone here mentioned the Dodgers are getting a bit long in the tooth. I was just looking at that. With their pitching obviously they'll be in games for the next few years. But on the offense side I can see fair drop-off coming soon. And with 1.1 billion salary deferred and current payroll now north of 400 million, there could be some issues as soon as next year. And I'm not sure they'll keep piling on salary. Of course the CBA will impact this. They're miles better than other teams. But one can hope they eventually suffer.
  16. Nice win helps with turning the page. This team is very different than the '24 team. It's gonna happen
  17. He pitched ok, Dodgers lost. Good day.
  18. Wow that's crazy. He must be in his 30s by now?
  19. Contreras is going to disable him
  20. Aug 28-29-30 Tigers host LAD. That should be a fun weekend
