  1. That's what's going to make the Trump concentration camps work: after AI and automation has mostly completed the takeover of the jobs, there won't be any need for the vermin in the labor force anymore. And don't worry about the cost of the camps, because they will simply liquidate the vermin's families' assets to pay for it all. 😉
  2. Honestly, I don't mind seeing a sharp turn toward conservatism, even if it's a knee-jerk reaction to the change of candidates to Kamala Harris. It's true that we do have a strain of groupthink here that in fairness makes it difficult for hard-right conservatives to stand fast against, although the groupthink about the current Trumpublicans is fairly earned. But for me, it has been the relentless, mean-spirited, intellectually-dishonest, barely on-topic bomb-throwing that finally wore me down. It's the same reason I bugged out of the Gaza thread.
  3. YES!! Perfect! Take back the "L" word!
  4. Unhinged, and clearly targeting ignorant, easily-outraged knuckleheads.
  5. MAGA has no use for your puny logic.
  6. Two choices: A) Jackson Holliday plus. B) No.
  7. Fire Harris before he lets that happen.
  8. I believe we may have punched above our weight with that pick. McGonigle’s talent and performance so far suggests he may be better than the average #37 overall.
  9. Right, not mathematically wrong, but it is an aesthetic atrocity, by which I mean, countless millions have died over it.
  10. Ok well maybe not so much … 😏
  11. Looking like they should have listened to me on this! 😄
  12. I'll tell you what: this guy is definitely there and is super excited!
  13. Very telling
  14. This is not me saying Casey Mize is a politician, but this is what a good politician would say.
  15. Maybe Javy is on the bereavement list because his career has died.
  16. I mean, yeah, you may be right. Especially if Harris does absolutely nothing this winter to bring in pitching, which some people here might believe against all past evidence.
  17. He’s had a two good extended relief appearances out of the last three, so maybe it’s time considering our circumstances.
  18. That’s what I thought too, but I am seeing tweets that it’s Brieske.
  19. That sounds fine on paper, except he’s rarely starting in Detroit. Two games in 2022; zero in 2023; 16 in 2024, or basically half a season. We are getting barely anything out of the guy. He can’t strike guys out, he can’t keep from giving up base hits, and his Savant card is as blue as the sea. And he is signed for a team option next year at $3.1 million. I’m wondering whether there’s going to be a real discussion in the front office as to whether we should pick it up, because I can’t imagine it’s a slam-dunk yes.
  20. So, Casey Mize: He came out of the game on June 29 with a hamstring strain. Today, we learn he will not be back before September. Good chance he is actually gone for the season, since they have already pulled the trigger on moving him to the 60-day. He will be 28 years old next year. How much longer can this go on?
