  1. It might be a negotiating ploy. The right to block a trade is a neat point of leverage for the player to get something extra from the buying team, or maybe even the selling team. After, if he wanted to stay here, all he had to do is agree to go to the Dodgers for two months, play in the playoffs, maybe win a ring, and then sign an extension with us in the offseason after opting out. But nooooo ... One thing I know for sure: if he doesn't move in the next hour, it's going to be awful uncomfortable for everyone involved, him sticking around an organization that just tried to get rid of him.
  2. I don't want to get into a winter bidding war only to lose him for nothing. I'm hoping for a trade in the next 62 minutes.
  3. I don't like that outcome. I'm hoping he's trying to get someone to extend him in the trade and/or he'd rather play closer to home in Baltimore. Or who knows, maybe he needs LA needs to extend him to get him.
  4. He's on my list now. 😏
  5. GOD DAMN IT!
  6. Also, when Dombo was with us, he was operating in a relatively Luddite world where other teams didn't have nearly the information at their disposal that teams do now.
  7. Could be something. Could be nothing.
  8. You don't say.
  9. Because he still works for the Astros?
  10. Old friend alert.
  11. I don’t see how Trump can suck up all the media oxygen in America with his antics for the next fifteen months, which he definitely will, and that people will start tuning him out and become too apathetic to vote. Those two circumstances don’t mesh for me.
  12. Do we have to choose? 😉
  13. Oops jumped the gun …
  14. Both. His plaque will have a Tigers hat, but during his speech he will switch it out for a marlins hat since he will be working for them. 😉
  15. You need to lighten up and get more Simpsons in your life! 😅
  16. Mr. mtu, I don't use the word 'hero' lightly—but you are the greatest hero in American history.
  17. Also should help our return from the Dodgers since Eduardo was the #2 guy on their list.
  18. Sure, as 20-20 hindsight narrative.
  19. Which is exactly what I suggested here.
  20. And I had no clue 2022 negated his entire history before that. Did you think Jeimer was done done as well?
  21. And I would counter that Hinch has to push buttons now because he did not have players he can plug in everyday, not necessarily because he loves loves loves pushing buttons. I would guess that once he does have everyday players, he will push buttons a lot less. I guess in a couple of years we will see.
