  1. He was ranked as high as #7 on the Tigers Top 30 for a couple of years, although he never cracked the MLB Top 100.
  2. Daniel Fields
  3. I don’t know, Nashua has a bigger metro area than Manchester which has a AA team. But Manchester city itself is slightly larger and may be slightly more convenient to Boston. Also, interestingly, Manchester is slightly more male a population and Nashua is slightly more female, if that means anything. But both probably couldn’t do it at the same time, unless the Braves move back to Boston …
  4. There are 600,000 stories in the naked city. This is one of them.
  5. I posted a comment in the wrong forum. Regular posters here do that occasionally. Hope that clears up the confusion for you.
  6. Sure, I don’t love that Biden is a known profane yeller, but what am I going to do? Vote for Trump instead, because of that? Or stay home, because of that? As if. The world is a way better place with Joe Biden as president, and he is far, far better for America than Trump or than any of those other bomb-throwing performance artists could ever be.
  7. It’s a bit of a shame, jz was a pretty strong poster on a lot of topics. Too bad he couldn’t control his outbursts.
  8. I like the pitch clock where it is: 15 seconds bases empty, 20 seconds otherwise. I get why Players want to change it because their mandate is to protect current high-dues-paying members, but that’s the only thing their position is about. It’s definitely not about the theoretical quality of the game or *snort* the fan experience. If current pitchers can’t hack it, replace them with new pitchers who can. Once that were to happen it wouldn’t be an issue anymore.
  9. And here comes Brieske. I haven’t been a fan. Come on, man, win me over.
  10. Yeah, if you want to see what you got with little risk to the game, this is the time.
  11. Thank you for your service.
  12. Tigers are playing like a pretty good major league team right now.
  13. I think Miguel Cabrera’s OPS+ is pushing 90 by now. Impressish.
  14. Ok, thanks. Even so, neither would surprise.
  15. We could see even last year that the walk rate was always going to be the wild card that would dictate how effective Lange would be at closer.
  16. With the event of HD cameras some years ago, it is easy to pick a frame out to use as a camera shot such as this.
  17. Holy Toledo, what a play at the plate. Too bad it’s gonna be overturned. Dan says he thinks Julio might have hurt himself at third, but I think he hurt himself as the batter-runner crossing first. He was running funny after crossing it.
  18. I wouldn’t mind seeing here guys on it …
  19. Also gone. Fact is, Maton is practically the best choice for his slot on the roster at this point in time. We have nothing better than he, and there’s nothing better that’s available to pluck off the free agent tree, or else Harris would be bringing them in.
