The Tigers offense is either white hot or ice cold. There is no middle setting, so unless they blow their opponent out or get near-perfect pitching, they have next to zero hope of winning any particular game.

Nice of the bats to show up! My phone was blowing up during the drive home from work, but I didn't want to know what happened until I got home, which ended up being the bottom of the 9th. MLB posted the 7th and 9th innings on YT, so that was nice to watch after walking the dog. This team has been streaky af since the ASG, so they have as good a chance as any team of catching fire and going all the way, but I think beating Seattle will make most of the salty fans forget about how the regular season ended.

Someone tell them the calendar flipped to October, so they can be good again already.

Just the opposite for me. BoSox fans are orders of magnitude more annoying than Yankees fans, and Boston has has done more to hurt the Tigers in this century than NYY has.
