I can see pitching chaos becoming a bigger thing in future post-seasons, as the days off between each game is what makes it a really viable strategy for more teams.

Skubal has pitched nearly the same amount of innings this season as the previous two combined, and over 40 innings more than his previous high back in 2021. When you pair that with Skubal's injury history, the Tigers are right to be cautious with him wrt pitching him on short rest. Even if it's "only" one day, it makes a difference.
Based on how the O-line played without him, there's no need to rush him back. Glasgow could start at Center for probably half the teams in the league, and Awosika had a pretty good game against Seattle.
