Based on the existence of ASB and the drafting of TeSlaa. If Jamo goes off like many expect this year, he's gonna make more than ASB. The same reason they can't afford a second top-5 edge applies to WR, IMO, and of all the guys you mentioned above, Jamo is the most expendable. In fact, I wouldn't be shocked if LaPorta or Gibbs don't get extended, either. Obviously, circumstances like injuries can change things, but there's only so much finagling of the cap you can do, even with it constantly expanding, because salaries expand along with the cap.

I'm disappointed, but not pissed as some are. Seeing Morton's numbers in context makes me feel better about the deadline moves. Two solid starters and a solid BP arm isn't nothing, but I'd have preferred a higher end reliever in the mix.

Bednar still being available suggests that the Pirates asking price is currently too high. Any contending team would love to add him, yet none have.

I like the Paddack and Finnigan deals -- they're solid additions at reasonable costs -- but the others are head-scratchers. I hope there's another deal to come before the deadline, but my gut says they're probably done.

In today's GT, Lee posted some interesting stats regarding Paddack's starts this year. He's susceptible to soiling himself on occasion, but he's pretty solid overall.

He said two top 100 guys, not two top 20 guys. I don't know how willing the Twins are to move a guy like Kwan, tbh, and especially within the division. If we had Kwan and were out of the race, those of us here would be demanding one top 100 guy+ for sure.

If this were any league other than the NFL, I'd agree with you, but so long as teams can cancel a contract for under-performance, I'm far more open to players who over-perform their deals to hold out for more.
