  1. All the defense had to do was not give up a 1st down on 3rd and 17, and they couldn't manage it.
  2. While I'd rather it was Detroit doing this to Dallas, it's still fun to see the Cowboys being force-fed a large helping of karma like this.
  3. As a Ram, Stafford has to deal with opposing crowd noise at every game.
  4. I've heard a lot of callers basically write this game off as a loss because Puka and Cooper. Same with people I run into down here in Texas. The Lions improved pass rush is apparently a chimera that can't be counted on because it's the result of exotic blitzes, which has been the talking point since the Broncos game. I mean, okay, I guess. My favorite talking point, though, has been Mike Valenti -- who I like -- saying the Lions lack of playoff experience is a huge deal. Dude has been repeating the mantra "the Lions are gonna win the division and win a playoff game" for over a year now -- who tf did he think the Lions were gonna draw that had less playoff experience than them? 🤣 I'm not saying there aren't valid concerns, because there are. The DBs need to play way better -- although it should be noted that despite being torched by Jefferson and Lamb three games in a row, they "won" all three of them -- and the running game needs to return to form, but overall, I think the Lions are a better team. And they're playing at home.
  5. I don't know if anyone here has done that or not; I'm thinking of people I've heard on the radio and some I've talked to irl.
  6. This is how I feel, too. The Rams are a really good team, but it seems like a lot of people are keen to build up their strengths as impossible to overcome while dismissing the strengths of the Lions as insignificant or easily neutralized by LA. The Lions are a really good team, too, and they're at home with a healthy O-line and a QB who excels behind it. I expect them to win a tight, high-ish scoring game. Also: LaPorta's gonna play. Book it.
  7. I think it means they're sticking with Fields. If they were going to draft Williams, they'd have cleaned house completely.
  8. This is fake news. I've been assured that the key to beating the Lions is to blitz Goff.
  9. So enough to miss a regular season game. I wouldn't be shocked if LaPorta was active for a playoff game.
  10. Does he? Goff is a better QB than he was in LA, and the Lions O-Line is better than LA's D-line. You could just as easily say that McVay should be worried that Goff knows his tendencies, and can adjust the defense accordingly.
  11. I wouldn't call it one of his worst as a Lion. It wasn't one of his best, but Jonah Jackson playing sub-par didn't help, either. Anyway, Goff doesn't need reps, he needs to remain healthy for the playoffs.
  12. I understand the desire to see Hooker, but if Campbell is gonna rest Goff, it really should be Teddy who gets the bulk of the snaps, as he's the guy who's going in if Goff gets injured during a playoff game.
  13. Most of the immediate national reaction was that despite the loss, they feel better about Detroit than Dallas going into the playoffs.
  14. I'm unnecessarily pissed of at a game I expected the Lions to lose, and after having already won their division. And it's not even at the 2-point conversion cock-up or the refs: it's all Derrick Barnes. I truly believe that if he sacks Dak for a safety, the game is over based on how well the defense played. I still don't know how it's even possible for him NOT to sack him there.
  15. I missed the last 2 minutes after Goff's 2nd int, so I missed a lot it seems lol. Took my new pup for a walk. I don't know what happened, but I blame the loss on Barnes for running past Prescott in the end zone instead of tackling him for a safety. Everything that happened after that is incidental in my mind.
