    Man, I'd hate to be a banged-up Bucs team coming into Ford Field to face a pissed-off Lions team the week following a bitter Lions loss that featured several controversial calls and no-calls that ALL went against Detroit, sparking copious national media attention and outrage. This has "refs make-up game" written all over it.

    I feel like Branch's actions have allowed Hutch's foolish late hit to fly under the post-game radar, which it shouldn't. KC would've had 3rd and long on their own side of the field, and Hutch gave them 15 yards, a fresh set of downs and momentum that they didn't earn. The drive ended in a TD. He's not taking nearly the amount of heat that he deserves, IMO.

    The contention that trading Skubal -- and the opportunities that doing so opens up -- necessarily remove the Tigers from 2026 playoff contention is what I disagree with. Stating it as fact. I disagree with that.

    No one here knows the answer to that question. I think the majority here is in the camp that that would prefer if the Tigers can sign Skubal long term during the off season. The disagreement is in what the team should do in the event that they can't.

    I think you have to trade him before training camp if he doesn't sign before then, because A) you risk him getting injured before the deadline, and B) you have a larger pool of suiters in the off season. The longer you wait, the less you're likely to receive in return for him.

    Ah well, pretty much what I expected. At least it's a loss to an AFC team, so there's that. Still, both sides of the ball have a lot to work on. Hutch should be fined by the team for that late hit on Mahomes.

    Actually, this is not true. They'll flag the Chiefs a bunch of times after the game is out of hand, so they can pretend to have been fair.
