I won’t be following this game today to any great extent because this is the day when I go for a walk with one of my pals in the rugged foothills of the idaho botanical garden. Then we usually grab something quick to eat, and today - because his wife has a complication in her schedule - he has an extra ticket (hers) to a live performance of Fiddler on the Roof at the concert hall. So I actually have a life today. Hope we win the series!

Attendance was under 5000? At Wrigley Field?

The hapless Colorado Rockies lost to the stupendous San Diego Padres 21–0 tonight and the Padres pitcher hurled a complete game shutout.

Everyone including us in the Central division lost today except the Twins who pulled up to .500 with a 20–20 record.

The Padres have laid 20 runs on the Rockies in Denver and it ain’t over yet

Dan has been missing all sorts of stuff lately little slips of the tongue that he never used to make like getting names mixed up. It worries me that something might be going on with him.

I had high hopes after Carpenter hit that lead off homer. I thought we’d keep doing it all night.

What an awful call on Tork

Wow, this is just not our night. Let’s win tomorrow and take the series and we could still turn it around…

This game is like a Bruce Springsteen song that hits me hard. ♬ There were ghosts in the eyes of all the boys you sent away.♬ I feel like one of those boys that were sent away. It’s just one game and games like this have to happen. And it’s not over because there’s magic in the night.

Maybe I’m in a bad mood, but I find what’s his face and Todd Jones unwatchable.

FYI - on Facebook today I’ve been getting inundated with phony news websites, claiming that both the Tigers and the Cubs have rejected advertising from Tesla because it violates their “family values.” Everyone is led back to some “person” called tintinhanahah and the comments are filled with phony people from what I can tell, making two word posts of agreement. Just be warned it’s indicative of how crappy Facebook is becoming.
