  1. Beau in his 2nd inning.
  2. Beau Brieske has entered the arena.
  3. What a bad call on McKinstry to strike him out.
  4. Torres gave second base the finger?
  5. Thank you, and you’re all welcome.
  6. OK Riley show us that hit wasn’t a fluke.
  7. I stopped listening to the radio broadcast tonight because all MLB plays is public service announcements telling me how great weed is but it’s bad when you’re driving. Also telling me that smoking cigarettes is bad and I had no idea. Has anyone else heard of this?
  8. Carpenter with his third hit of the night a double.
  9. I’m assuming that with Olson at 87 pitches we’ve seen the last of him in this game. Hope the pen can hold the lead.
  10. So my guess is we’re not using the ninth guy in the batting order as a “second lead off man“ given that the bottom three of the order are also sub Mendoza guys right now.
  11. Can’t quite believe Olson got out of that bases loaded situation, but he did.
  12. 2 batters faced both make it on….
  13. So since they’ve only scored one run in the last 22 innings have they “saved up some runs” over the last 22 innings in their metaphysical bank of runs which they often squander in high scoring games? Or if you want to get more scientific about it, could they “return to the mean” of scoring a sensible number of runs and hopefully allow fewer than they score?
  14. I’m mostly worried about Riley, but I think he will self correct. I remember during the reign of Dave Dombrowski how we had a plethora of great hitters in the lineup and they would all go inexplicably blank for several games in a row. This stuff just happens and the scales will swing the other way before long.
  15. Hey pal, we’re not Baastun. 😉
  16. It wasn’t a bad idea. It was as Deadpool says “a calculated wish.” It was based on a need of having to give the rest of the staff an extra day off and he had performed well in AAA, but the gap between major league and AAA got the better of him today. Keeping him around for a while might also help keep them from wearing out Jobe.
  17. He’s good enough, he’s smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like him.
  18. When we score 6 runs in the top of the ninth, we’re going to be talking about this for years.
  19. Tork fighting back against these NL Deathstar Teams.
  20. Montero Ks the side in the 1st
