I could normally care less about what happens in the off-season. It’s not like that this year. Also a win today would be meaningless but it sure would feel good.

I wonder how many of the guys on the roster for today’s game will be gone when the season opens next spring. I know the roster’s been expanded but I am expecting a number of guys to be gone.

If it were seven teams in each league Cincinnati and Philadelphia who are barely .500 would make it. Can’t see why they should be penalized though when a couple teams run away with it and everyone else is fairly competitive. I’m not all that wild about seven teams from each league but I am not all that much against it and it doesn’t matter what my feelings or opinions are anyway. With this new system if it’s implemented the Tigers could very well be in the playoffs next year.

I prefer my snarky interpretation of it.

Yes Yes Yes He wants to play and the Tigers can’t treat him like a burned out whore who isn’t pretty anymore. More confidence than is rational is a part of the psychological and emotional make up of every big-time athlete. The Tigers are a business that offered him a contract and he signed it. He plays until he physically breaks down or his contract is over. Period.

I hate the American League. Other AL teams are the enemy. Rooting for an AL team in the World Series is like thanking your jailer or the person who tortures you for doing a good job. I’m going with America’s team, the Atlanta Braves. I’m betting heap big wampum on them.

At least they were merciful enough not to score 6 runs in the top of the ninth and give us hope. Getting out of Chicago with one win would be nice.

I am watching this instead it’s better.

That was a disappointing way to end the inning. Double steal to get 2 runners in scoring position and then no dice.

I want the Tigers to at least get a lead and even if they blow just so Lance Lynn doesn't end up with 11 wins and with 4 of them against us

I did have him whizzing on Roberts’ shoe but the symmetry of them all having the same arc was too good to pass up.
