It’s amazing how the IQ of this board can drop so significantly when you actually win a game you didn’t think you could win.

Yeah, as much as their optimism rubs me the wrong way I do feel bad for the fan base. If it weren’t for the fact that my own fan base is my home, my heart, my sustenance, I would be on their side, but I can’t be. And when you think of all the great players that came through Seattle who left because the team couldn’t or wouldn’t hold onto them they’re sort of like the Marlins of the Northwest without ever winning a World Series.

The end of the regular season was kind of like a battery acid cocktail with razor blades in it. This is so much better.

Man, I sure want to win this game tomorrow. Going back to the D with two wins in our pocket would be really special.

I’m still flabbergasted. 48,000 people against us in the stands. Standing and going wild from the first inning. All the announcers consigning the team to doom. Then sending everyone home with their tails between their legs.

I try not to eat past 8 PM anymore. My metabolism ain’t what it used to be.

I like Keider. He reminds me of guys I knew in Tucson 50 years ago. Kind of takes me back.

Now the important thing is not to take the game tomorrow for granted just because we have the best pitcher in baseball on the mound. Not that our state of mind has any effect upon this.
