  1. So is there a combination of the Tigers winning and somebody else losing that would give us a home-field advantage?
  2. I was just cursing the fact that this game with the Red Sox Sunday is inexplicably at around 3 PM Eastern time and then I remembered they do this every year for the last game of the season and that all the games begin roughly within 5 to 10 minutes of each other.
  3. If Jason wants to be behind the camera a lot, he can’t rely on weekend football games or something. He needs to be with a baseball team. I’m glad he’s with us. I hope he’s not going anywhere else. I have no problem with him doing other games in other sports.
  4. When and where? I wasn’t watching at that time. I was too busy pouting about how they should’ve celebrated a couple weeks ago instead of tonight.
  5. I know the playoffs are volatile, and like a brand new season, so to speak. But I find it hard to believe that the Tigers will start firing on all eight cylinders now when they’ve been faltering for so long. Back when they were genuinely good and I gave up during a particular game, they proved me wrong so many times with their seeming miracles. I hope they can do it again. I would rather win with solid play, instead of relying upon seeming miracles, by not squandering leads or leaving tons of runners on base.
  6. I’m glad the Tigers won. I’m glad the Red Sox made it easy for them. I’m glad they didn’t get bumped from the playoffs after they were a sure thing for so long of even getting a bye. I’m not in a celebratory mood though. it never should’ve been a but by the skin of your teeth nailbiter on the next to the last day of the season.
  7. I am relieved incredibly relieved and I am still so ****ing pissed that they ****ing put us through this. I just have to be honest. I’m ****ing pissed.
  8. This 2-1 lead makes me feel nervous and insecure.
  9. Riley is batting .167 in his last 15 games and it is what it is…
  10. Until just now in the last 14 games, the Tigers had scored only 35 runs. It’s now 37 and 15 games.
  11. It’s a shame that Montero’s well pitched game is going to waste because this team simply cannot score runs anymore. And Jahmai Jones singles on a ground ball to left fielder Masataka Yoshida. Dillon Dingler scores. Javier Báez scores. Parker Meadows to 3rd. Jahmai Jones to 2nd.
  12. If in the off-season they traded Riley for two Steven Kwan type players and picked up a great reliever somewhere else I think I would be tickled pink. When you crunch the numbers, we’d be ahead of the game. But I think everyone in baseball knows what Riley is up to except a team that’s analytics deficient like the Rockies.
  13. It would be nice if Riley Greene would just be happy to make contact and drive in a couple runs when the bases are loaded instead of golfing a grand slam.
  14. All Hail @MotownWebGuy!
  15. Wow, everything’s downloading a lot quicker than usual.
  16. Harris is used to being the smartest guy in the room. And I don’t doubt that that’s true, but that can come back to bite you. The way these guys who performed great earlier in the year have fallen off is not Harris‘s fault. I don’t know if it’s the coaching staff’s fault either. Players constantly have to make adjustments. Players also have to be coachable. Riley is just plain stubborn, even clueless. The way he deals with interviews is at times unprofessional. Maybe I’m expecting too much from him. He’s just an athlete. He’s not a Rhodes Scholar.
  17. This is devastating.
  18. I don’t want Perez to walk that sets Tork up for the cheap double play
  19. Please, please please
  20. Please don’t do something stupid like try to get Malloy to steal third.
  21. If Riley merely made contact for a hit, we could get two more runs. He doesn’t need to golf a grand slam.
  22. The Red Sox are changing pitchers so quickly you’d think they actually wanted to win this game.
