  1. Know if these guys that we prize so highly in the minors — and everybody else prizes so highly — get up here and struggle like Jung or Keith did initially, I’ll be really pissed off.
  2. Goodbye Charlie Morton. At least somebody got six runs.
  3. I follow this team to escape from reality, not have my nose rubbed in it. That may not speak well of me, but that’s the way it is.
  4. I’m going back to Diana Rigg.
  5. Jung is now officially on the roster while Keith is not.
  6. This is good to know. Thanks for sharing this.
  7. I don’t know how much tension and unfulfillment I can take. The last few days I’ve been watching the Diana Rigg era of the two seasons she was on the Avengers and while that’s tense it’s very fulfilling, which is better than the tigers lately.
  8. Zach McKinstry has really stopped being the guy we got used to earlier in the year. His last 30 games have been pretty bad and in his last seven games he’s 0 for 16. I haven’t watched a lot of games closely during the bad stretch so I don’t know if he’s making up for any of this in the field.
  9. It’s a very bad stretch. In the last 7 games, the Tigers have been out scored 17–37. And have a 1-6 record. Maybe they’re due for an upturn. I sure hope so.
  10. When I saw that we were already onto the second page of a game that’s five hours away I was worried that something catastrophic happened or that something good happened like the whole Cleveland team had been banned for betting.
  11. Of course Ramirez homered. If he could, he’d steal a base during a homer.
  12. The Tigers can’t seem to hit anybody except the Yankees.
  13. I don’t know how to wrap my mind around this. All I can assume is that there’s enough data out there and enough scouting that whatever the Tigers were doing earlier in the year isn’t working now and corrections have to be made. I hope they can make them.
  14. Where’s my six runs?
  15. I learned the sad fade of my relationship to gravity when I was at the local science museum years ago, and even wearing shoes, the laser - and I am told that lasers cannot lie - told me I’d lost an inch.
  16. GameDay is working again, but Mrs. Peel is perhaps more interesting. Multitasking it is.
  17. I am now relying on your updates because I can’t rely upon mlb.com
  18. I’m trying to multitask and follow this game as I rewatch the 1960s Avengers season four with Diana Rigg as Mrs. Peel - and yeah, she’s wearing head to toe black leather in the forest on a hot day- and GameDay simply will not work and that’s the best way for me to multitask.
  19. Guess you can’t expect a home plate umpire to be consistent. Tork is called out on strikes.
  20. A SF or home run from Tork would be nice.
  21. I think Jones was out at Second, but there was not enough convincing evidence unobscured by other players, to overturn the call.
  22. Ramirez looked like he had a decent swing, but he popped up in the first. I hope Casey can keep his ERA under 4.00. When offense was struggling in the later 60s being under 3.00 was a big deal but these days being under 4.00 means you’re functioning decently I guess.
  23. It’s a really wonderful drive. Never a dull moment.
  24. One of my kids started going to college in Olympia, Washington in 2016 and this was right around the time when fully licensed cannabis shops could open. In nearby Lacey, Washington there was a main strip with countless cannabis stores. Four months later, 2/3 of them were closed. Only a fraction of the public is interested in being that high and having one of those shops is not automatically a license to print money. If you overproduce, you can’t ship it out of state so you’re stuck with it and the price plummets and stores close. And Olympia is pretty far away from a boundary with another state where it’s illegal.
  25. My son tells me that in Oregon you can get a 28% THC hybrid of gloriously beautiful crystallized buds with an amazing bouquet for $60. 34% is a little bit more. The places that are right over the border and right off the interstate charge about twice as much, but if you’re willing to travel 5 mi. further out into the boonies, the price plummets because there is an enormous glut.
