  1. So far this ump after two innings seems pretty good. The only pitch I saw him call “wrong“ was a low strike to Riley that he called a ball. Thank you very much.
  2. Wacha answers w/10.
  3. Paddack 7-pitch first.
  4. I don’t want to come back dramatically from several runs down. I want to lead the whole way.
  5. Johnny is on camera right now. He doesn’t sleep with the fishes.
  6. After all, it is a game featuring Chris Paddack.
  7. Looks like Finnegan is the pitcher of record.
  8. Phew! So the Tigers have the best record in the AL, we have come from behind to have a large lead against our closest rival in the Central, they’re wearing their City Connects, and my understanding that Keith Law no longer hates the Tigers and has stopped burning incense to Satan to seek their demise. What else have I forgotten?
  9. Wenceel Pérez singles on a line drive to left fielder Nick Loftin. Gleyber Torres scores. Spencer Torkelson to 2nd.
  10. My cup runneth over. 6-3.
  11. 5-3. I just can’t believe this sometimes.
  12. Andy Ibáñez singles on a sharp line drive to left fielder Nick Loftin. Javier Báez scores.
  13. Javier Báez singles on a line drive to right fielder Randal Grichuk. Zach McKinstry scores. Javier Báez to 3rd. Throwing error by right fielder Randal Grichuk.
  14. Mize taketh away, Zach and Riley giveth.
  15. Riley Greene homers (30) on a fly ball to right center field. Gleyber Torres scores.
  16. At least Casey’s pitch count is average for this point in the game… <ducks>
  17. Oh heck, I just now realized I’m going to have to suffer through those in-game interviews where players on the field are miked up and dividing their attention between the game and entertaining the audience.
  18. Keith 3B Torres 2B Carpenter DH Greene, R LF Torkelson 1B Pérez, W RF Dingler C McKinstry SS Báez, J CF
  19. The rubber really meets the road in these next few games. To me these next couple series feel like playoff games in the sense that they are indicative of whether the most recent upsurge of the Tigers is sustainable.
  20. By the way, the “pregame“ on Apple TV begins at 6:30 PM.
