So we’re fielding the A-Team that we have at our disposal and we have our most effective pitcher so far on the mound against an opponent we know and have already beaten twice. But when everything is stacked in your favor, sometimes things don’t work out. I hope I’m wrong but we might be overdue for something like that to happen today. Best to have the attitude that we are the Greeks and the Spartans fighting the invincible Persian Empire just to be safe.
I hope Sunday’s game isn’t one of those games I seem to remember from previous years where half of everybody who is good gets rested. I don’t think Hinch does this so I think I’ll blame Brad Ausmus because it pleases me to do so.
I didn’t know that was an option. Of course, if I took that option, I would simply be able to watch the Tigers when they play the Mariners (which is what’s blacked out for me in Idaho ) and that’s not worth an extra $50.
Once again, the radio post game show on MLB radio is interrupted because TV had an ad. I don’t know why they can’t deliver radio broadcast the way they used to. I really like the chat after the game but apparently that’s not what you get for $3.99 a month anymore.
In the aggregate all these things such as this and swinging on the first pitch (within reason) and taking bases other teams may not attempt really adds up.
