I was wondering why the air quality in Chicago last weekend was unhealthy even though it was raining and is unhealthy in Detroit right now even though it’s drizzling when usually rain improves the air, but I forgot about the Canadian fires.
In Idaho, where I live we’ve been tortured by Canadian fire smoke for the last couple years, but those fires were directly north of us, and I guess the fires in Canada right now are more located further to the east.
