It just seems like the odds are in favor of us scoring enough runs to win and the best pitcher in baseball will hold back Toronto. That seems like a logical, long overdue possibility.

Ok. Luke Jackson, a pitcher formerly with the Texas Rangers, was released by the team on Friday, July 25. He was designated for assignment on Wednesday, July 23, and subsequently released after clearing waivers. He has since signed with the Detroit Tigers.

There’s a lot of data out there and unless you’re the Colorado Rockies everybody combs over it and they’re starting to figure out how to deal with the tigers so there’s always that and they have to make adjustments. But I get the feeling also that this is just one of those bad spells all the best teams have gone through this year and this is our turn. I don’t think we’ll get back to being a .667 club but they will right the ship. There’s no way they played 130+ games so well and that it was all just luck.

Jake Rogers has a better ERA in blowouts at least than a lot of our regular relief staff does.

I hope this punishment is one of those “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” sort of things.

I think I’ll watch a Jason Statham revenge film to take the edge off of this game and just check in periodically. Good luck to us all.
