  1. Guess this is not a moral dilemma I have to face.
  2. It would be wrong to root for more runs. It would be like dancing on someone’s grave. But if the Blue Jays score more runs in the top of the ninth, I won’t celebrate, but I won’t hang my head either.
  3. I am Idaho Bert and I approve this message.
  4. Six runs. My work is done here.
  5. Trey Yesavage! Wow!
  6. This is a long time for Yesavage to sit.
  7. 5-1. Bo Bichette singles on a line drive to right fielder Teoscar Hernández. Andrés Giménez scores. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to 3rd.
  8. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. walks. Addison Barger scores. Andrés Giménez to 2nd. Passed ball by catcher Will Smith. 4-1 Jays
  9. Vlad coming up with 2 on and two out in the top of the seventh. This is pretty exciting.
  10. Yesavage is not afraid to pitch to Ohtani, but that diving catch in right pretty much saved him there
  11. Yesavage get his 10th K in five innings of work.
  12. Yesavage just decided to hit Freeman to keep them guessing.
  13. I hate in-game dugout interviews, which I presume is the kind of thing that tickles the hearts of casual fans. Grrrr
  14. Ernie Clement out on a sacrifice fly to center fielder Enrique Hernández. Daulton Varsho scores. 3-1 Toronto.
  15. Daulton Varsho triples Yes!
  16. And streak ends as Enrique Hernández homers (1) on a fly ball to left field.
  17. 5 Ks in a row for Yesavage
  18. I’m in the mood for some add on runs by the Blue Jays.
  19. Trey Yesavage strikes out the side in the bottom of the 2nd
  20. Alejandro Kirk at 5‘8“ and 245 pounds looks like a spark plug. He does not “look like a baseball player“
  21. Vlad Junior Homer’s oh my God
  22. If the Blue Jays get out to an early lead, I’ll watch this game… Oh my God Davis Schneider homers (1) on a fly ball to left field.
  23. I am looking forward to the off-season for the Detroit Tigers through the double vision of an elated child on Christmas morning, and of an adult who wants to see his enemies guillotined. If I can experience a little of both as soon as possible, I will be rejoicing.
  24. Toronto for very specific reasons I am keeping to myself.
  25. When I saw him play for the Boise Hawks when he was 17 years old in the NWL - and everyone else on the field was at least four years older - as I recall, he was playing shortstop and over the years with everyone I had ever watched play in the NWL you held your breath when the shortstop went deep and threw to first because it was usually an iffy proposition and he threw right on the button back then. But I think you’re right and he probably knows his limitations better than the rest of us which is why he doesn’t want to be tested at third base.
