I looked it up and I was not hallucinating. They got rid of it a couple seasons ago and I couldn’t see any reason given but it probably had something to do with interfering with advertising. I never used it, but I would use it now at least on occasion.
It’s a road game. Maybe the Tigers will squeeze through today, but if they win tomorrow, it’s a series win, which is almost worthy of a ticker tape parade statistically.
Hoffman gave up five runs in his last outing and four home runs in his last nine innings. If the Tigers can’t win against this guy, they definitely don’t deserve to win, but a lot of times nobody deserves to win.
I find myself turning the audio off on the game on the TV and I have some kind of recollection that MLB TV used to give you the option of just listening to crowd noise in the background and not listening to broadcasters, but I might be hallucinating this memory.
Reese has only 71 pitches after five innings so they should be able to get a couple more innings out of him if he doesn’t melt down or anything. Sure could use some run support.
