I like Jason and Dirks together and I’m 73 years old. They’re trying to appeal to a younger audience which I get. I don’t know if Jason was raised by old people - come to think of it I guess he’d have to be - but he refers to music and cultural stuff that I’m familiar with and that surprises me at times. I’ll generally listen to Dan on the radio and watch the TV and that’s because I like Dan so much. I like Dan and Dirks together a whole lot. I like Dan with Bobby too.

I was hoping that for the Toronto series I could watch the Toronto TV feed and listen to Dan on the radio, but you can only listen to the specific radio feed for the TV feed you’re watching on MLB.tv. Watching the Blue Jays feed it was so nice not being subjected to all the idiot gambling BS.

Re-watching the bottom of the ninth of last night‘s game and I really admire Alex’s Cora’s time out to buy time to dispute what Ibanez did at second base. Playing all the angles you can. Cool. Maybe changing catchers was a bad idea but he had a reason to pull Narváez for a pinch runner. Then there’s the throwing error Then Javy pops up and J-Hen comes up to win it as AJ plays all the angles in his own way by inserting two guys made for this role in this game. What a game.

Jeez Louise at 2:36 PM Eastern, Minnesota is leading Baltimore 4–0 in the seventh inning. Can anybody stop the Minnesota blanking Twins?

Wow, they really summarized how bad it actually was.

The AL Central division leads all of baseball with 116 wins. You would think that the NL West would be the leader, but Colorado’s mere seven wins is the problem and the West has only 110.

I enjoyed watching Devers and Bregman in last night’s game. The contrast between the two was thrilling. Devers is like the seething outer perimeter of a hurricane’s arms that can flatten everything in its path. He’s imposing and terrifying to behold as his arms and legs rotate with destructive fury before delivering death. And Bregman is like the calm, still center of the hurricane itself that eventuates in the same kind of damage without losing its focus.

Upon awaking I’m still basking in the afterglow of these last three games. I don’t even care if televised highlight reels want only to depict that dramatic home run robbing play by the Red Sox and seemingly dismiss the sweep of the Red Sox as incidental. I doubt if the Red Sox players themselves think that event makes up for what they endured this weekend no matter how many times it’s replayed. I simply enjoy living within the bubble of my own team’s universe.

I don’t know if all the dopamine and endorphin rushes I’m getting from these dramatic wins is good for me. But they’re quite enjoyable.

The Red Sox fell below .500 tonight thanks to the Tigers walkoff win.

The White Sox have won three in a row and four of their last five games. But they face the Cubs for three games this weekend and this nonsense will probably come to an end then.
