  1. Well, it was kind of interesting at the end. But I don’t really have any skin in the game. If the Mariners were to go to the World Series and take down the Dodgers, it would be pleasing in a distant sort of way. Whatever.
  2. So a pretty good offense in the Brewers has only got one hit and eight innings. This seems painfully familiar.
  3. Freeman Homer’s for Dodgers
  4. I really like Christian Yelich. When I saw him playing with the Marlins years ago, I thought he looked 16 years old, and now he looks 24 even though he’s actually 33.
  5. TNT actually has a visible strike zone box too which is something that Fox is not doing.
  6. Holy moly that possible seeming Dodger grand slam that became a double play after review is totally mind blowing. Wow!
  7. I can’t imagine the Tigers going to Toronto and playing this well. I wish I could, but I can’t. And I don’t think we can write this off for the Mariners as “just baseball.“ I think they might actually be pretty good and rising to the occasion when it matters. Granted our team almost had them on the ropes, but couldn’t close the deal.
  8. she is what she is…
  9. It’s hard to look at the Blue Jays fans right now cause I know what that feels like
  10. Announcers giving it to the ump for extending that first inning for the M’s.
  11. Naylor again 9-3
  12. We’ll get to claim that we were defeated by the best and only by a hair.
  13. I honestly don’t care though. I don’t know why I should be upset.
  14. I’m channeling Dan Dickerson right now…
  15. The umpire is awful and gave George Springer a walk when there were two pitches that were obvious strikes that didn’t get called
  16. I guess the Blue Jays do not intend to go gentle into that good night.
  17. I got so caught up in doing other stuff I didn’t realize this is a day game. I think I’ll watch it. I usually get bored after a while if it’s not my team, but who knows.
  18. I totally forgot this Seattle Toronto game was on and I’m amazed the Mariners won the first game. A Seattle Milwaukee World Series would really be a way of rubbing it in the nose of the oligarchs who think only four or five franchisees are worth making it that far. Of course I piss and moan about this because my team is not one of the worthy and I’ll admit that when I see a World Series where something like the Rangers are playing Tampa Bay I’d find myself falling asleep at that prospect so I suppose I am as much a part of the problem is anyone else. But basically, if my own team isn’t in the mix, I could generally care less no matter what.
  19. DETROIT -- The Tigers have extended the contract of manager A.J. Hinch, president of baseball operations Scott Harris confirmed Monday at their season-ending press conference. Terms were not disclosed. “We extended A.J. earlier in the year,” Harris said. “I absolutely love working with A.J. I think he’s one of the best managers in the game. We have now proactively extended him twice because we want him to be here as long as he’s willing to be here, and I want to work with him as long as I can possibly work with him. It was one of the easier conversations I’ve had, because … he wants to be here too, and I think we’re both bullish on our future in this organization, and we’re both proud of what we’ve done in the three years together.” per mlb.com
  20. Right now I’m glad I’m not living and dying by what the Lions are doing and I’m afraid to go in that forum right now because some of the people might need the number of the suicide hotline. So I’m glad to pretty much be exclusively a Tigers fan.
  21. Banana Ball is coming to my fair city of Boise, Idaho, and instead of being in our former Northwest League stadium, it will be on the infamous blue turf of Albertsons Stadium and the Boise State Broncos football team on July 31 and August 1 and you have to enter a lottery and tickets are either $35 or $100 for the “meet and greet.” Whee! They have 75 dates planned for the summer all over the country. I can’t imagine being that far away from the action as very enjoyable but I don’t know how they’ll configure it. When I saw the Harlem Globetrotters in Boise, I had courtside seats and it was spectacular.
  22. I had no idea that all the games were fixed, and all the refs were being paid to cheat. I think there should be an investigation into this.
  23. I am waiting for my winter of discontent to end so I can crawl out of my cave and squint at the sunlight. And winter hasn’t even yet begun!. And it will be a long, long, long, long time, before the dawn.
  24. Sorry to hear about Diane Keaton. Many dear memories of her. I purposely never watched Looking for Mr. Goodbar because I couldn’t stand the idea of what happens to her in the film.
