chasfh Posted Saturday at 09:21 PM Author Posted Saturday at 09:21 PM I've read a little bit about the post-WWII period in Europe. Obviously nothing like in the US, because the war was fought there, and it wasn't fought here. That's why the US became the major global power in the first place. But what I hadn't realized before i started reading about it was just how harsh the period 1945-1950 was in Germany. It was essentially a lawless wasteland where revenge murders were common and even the occasional pitched battle occurred, and now only in eastern Europe. And if you were a German—hoo hoo hoooooo. You had major problems, especially if you were part of the siaspora that populated the countries Hitler took over in the attempt to germanize them (or Nazify them, if you prefer). That's the backgrounding to this here map. Quote

chasfh Posted Wednesday at 09:17 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 09:17 PM Now this one is more interesting. According to this, Macomb County is in the North East, Downriver is in the Mid Eas (along with Birmingham, and I don't mean Michigan), and the city of Detroit is smack on the black line dividing them.
