GalagaGuy Posted November 6 Posted November 6 With Ovechkin hitting 900 goals, I took a look at the all-time stats. It's wild to me that not only is he still more than 1,200 points behind Gretzky, he's not even in the Top 10 for career points. Quote

The goalie that gave up his 900th goal tried to hide the puck down his pants...lmao Edited November 6 by Sports_Freak Quote
lordstanley Posted November 7 Author Posted November 7 As a Canadian, it will be interesting to see who is our Olympic goalie. Binnington will probably start the opening game, but surely Logan Thompson will at least make the roster this year. If not, he must have done something we don't know about to tick off Team Canada brass. Quote
lordstanley Posted November 14 Author Posted November 14 (edited) RIP Larry Brooks. Had to be considered the best known U.S. hockey writer, I’d say. https://nypost.com/2025/11/13/sports/rip-brooksie-larry-brooks-post-legend-and-hall-of-fame-hockey-writer-dead-at-75/ https://www.nhl.com/news/larry-brooks-dead-covered-rangers-hockey-for-ny-post Edited November 14 by lordstanley Quote
slothfacekilla Posted December 12 Posted December 12 Well at least we don't have Stan Bowman as our GM, this guy sucks Quote
lordstanley Posted December 12 Author Posted December 12 Yeah, is Jarry even an upgrade over Skinner? Quote

He's older, more expensive, has a longer contract and Jarry has been really bad in the playoffs. Giving up Kulak to do this also is odd to me because Alec Regula is now projected to play on their second pairing haha. But I guess if you think mixing it up by removing Skinner and adding Jarry is the only way to try something I guess you can see SOME logic. It's just bad logic. Jarry passed through waivers last season so it isn't like he's some sought after commodity Quote
buddha Posted Saturday at 05:25 AM Posted Saturday at 05:25 AM mason marchment to columbus for a second and a fourth. i remember he was a semi-hot commodity as a free agent. anyone else on seattle worth taking a run at? do they want to deal matty beniers yet? Quote

lordstanley Posted Saturday at 05:52 PM Author Posted Saturday at 05:52 PM John Leonard with his 1st goal for Detroit. Has scored one goal each in 4 different seasons with 4 different teams. Can he match or exceed his career high of 3 goals in a season, with the Sharks in 2021. Quote
buddha Posted Sunday at 03:28 AM Posted Sunday at 03:28 AM pens have lost 8 straight? hawks have lost 5 in a row. time to start the karlsson trade rumors again. seattle is already in tank mode. guess who is in last place in the division? the mighty maple leafs. ya hate to see it...maybe losing one of the best two way players in hockey isnt the plus leafs fans made it out to be? 1 Quote
slothfacekilla Posted yesterday at 06:10 PM Posted yesterday at 06:10 PM Maybe I'm just a hater but I feel like people like Jarmo for no reason. Bergevin stinks and I don't think Jarmo's tenure in Columbus was that impressive so I don't imagine this new Buffalo direction is going to go well, but what do I know. Quote
