Remember when a lot of us thought this team could be on the periphery of the playoffs this season?  Good times.

Did people actually think this? I thought 30 wins would be a successful season, I can't imagine that many if anybody expected the Pistons to be a bubble playoff team.

I can honestly say that nobody saw them as a 12 win team either though.

In this new NBA play-in model,  34-35 wins puts a team around that bubble.   I thought they would be around that number.

I guess it depends upon what one considers “periphery”.  Sniffing a play in spot right now would be lower 30 wins in the East (Houston at 37 in the West good for only 11th right now).
