His rebound control could use some work, but it doesn’t seem to bother him or shake his confidence, especially in big games and high-pressure moments. trade cossa while he still has some value! Quote
slothfacekilla Posted June 28 Posted June 28 this will shock everyone here but I am really liking what I read about their draft picks. Tyurin is intriguing too. Quote

But I usually just track 1st and 2nd round NHL prospects because it is pretty rare... And allow myself to be pleasantly surprised when a later round guy actually makes it all the way to Grand Rapids. Then it's time to keep an eye on those guys too. I'm on sloth's optimistic side however... Although it's definitely "believe it when I see it".... Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Kid looks like he has a lot of energy in his game and seems to have some playmaking ability. It's a 4th round pick, so I will neither celebrate nor complain because I know nothing about this kid or any of the 4th round picks that came after him. Quote
AlaskanTigersFan Posted July 1 Author Posted July 1 If I was Yzerman, I'd offer up my 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th rounders every year for a 2nd. Then you're drafting a 1st rounder and two seconds. I thought someone once posted a chart like 95% of the players that hit are 1st and 2nd rounders...... Fill the rest in with UDFA's. I keep seeing reports that people we draft are "below NHL average".... Like, why bother.... The hit rate has got to be astronomically low. Quote
Hongbit Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago The rule change allowing CHL players to play in the NCAA prior to being drafted will have a massive impact on the draft moving forward. The #1 prospect for next year, Gavin McKenna, has committed to Penn State for a whopping $700k beating out longtime favorite, MSU, who apparently offered $200-$300k. Amateur hockey is gone and big money has officially entered the NHL draft world. Quote

Will players be negotiating better NIL deals and jumping schools every year? Will coaches have to worry midseason about a guy wanting to leave the team and go play elsewhere? If this does happen, what does this do to fundamentals and player development if a guy ends up at 3 different schools, learning 3 different systems? Quote

Overall, there might be only as much NIL in college hockey as in women’s gymnastics. Quote
slothfacekilla Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I'm not a NCAA guy anymore but I would rather the players get rich than the administrators and conferences 1 Quote
