Sports_Freak Posted February 21, 2025 Posted February 21, 2025 Announcer said tickets were going for $2500. I say hockey is big, bigger than it's given credit for. Quote

But Canada is being bullied and threatened with economic ruin. I hate that for them. Our bully in the White House brought politics into this. So I'm glad the Canadians won. 2 1 Quote
Hongbit Posted February 21, 2025 Author Posted February 21, 2025 Great game. Not surprised. Congrats Canada 🇨🇦 Yes, it’s the wrong forum but this was more proof that everything touches almost immediately turns to ****. 💩 2 1 Quote

Mr.TaterSalad Posted February 21, 2025 Posted February 21, 2025 I don't own any Canadian apparel so I wore one of my Canadian player Red Wing jerseys in honor tonight. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted February 21, 2025 Posted February 21, 2025 I'm meh on that trophy. I don't hate it, but it's nothing great IMO. It's soooooooo hard to create a memorable trophy when your sports main trophy is the best trophy in all of sports. Quote
lordstanley Posted February 21, 2025 Posted February 21, 2025 What the Canadian tv call sounded like. Quote

Add in the 2 missed chances to win it on his stick and that has to rank as one of the worst overtimes ever by a star player in a championship game. Is he becoming the modern version of No Show Joe Thornton? Edited February 21, 2025 by Hongbit Quote

lordstanley Posted February 21, 2025 Posted February 21, 2025 ESPN’s Greg Wyshynski calls Larkin a lock for the Olympic team. https://www.espn.com/nhl/insider/story/_/id/43937233/nhl-2026-olympics-hockey-team-usa-roster-decisions-best-players Larkin flashed his game-breaking speed and was the offensive difference-maker in the win over Canada in Montreal, scoring the go-ahead goal. The Red Wings center was used as a primary penalty killer for Sullivan. He did nothing in 4 Nations but help his case for the Olympics. Quote

I switched to Coke after my 2nd beer but even 2 beer is double what I drink 99% of the time. Yesterday was first time in ages I’ve spent more than an hour in a bar at one time - during NFL season I’ll often stop in to watch one quarter of the Sunday night game (starts 5:15pm my time) Quote
