Jason_R Posted Friday at 09:53 PM Posted Friday at 09:53 PM Brad and Aidan are gung ho about Marcus Davenport, but let’s get Judon here too. Quote

Motown Bombers Posted Saturday at 03:39 PM Posted Saturday at 03:39 PM You can tell the Lions have made into the NFL's elite since they have the big guns spending more time at Lions camp these days. Quote

Motown Bombers Posted Monday at 12:06 AM Posted Monday at 12:06 AM I’ll say no one is going to say Mahomes has to prove it without Reid. Quote

MichiganCardinal Posted Monday at 07:05 PM Posted Monday at 07:05 PM I don’t take Justin Rogers’ word lightly. Jamo may be in for a huge year. Quote

Jamo is due for a big breakout, you could see it coming last year. The potential Jamo extension is one of the reasons why they can't trade for a guy like Hendrickson, it's going to be a big one. The victim was far better off with Sutton in the league and making millions she could collect child support off of. I expect the league still comes out in the Lions favor on this. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago The Detroit Lions are going to have a top 5 defense this season. All of those injuries last season gave our backups tons of experience, priceless experience. Quote
GalagaGuy Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Call me crazy but I think this dude is gonna surprise a lot of people. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago LMAO...Gardner White is offering refunds on any furniture purchased if the Lions win the Super Bowl again this season. I bet they were sweating last year. Prolly rooting against the Lions to win. Quote

All of those injuries last season gave our backups tons of experience, priceless experience. This is honestly a plausible expectation. Had Hutch stayed healthy he might have broken the single-season sack record. He might do it this year. By the time of the Bills game last year, Ben Niemann had the second-most snaps at LB with 63% of defensive snaps. David Long and Zeke Turner had 41% and 40% of defensive snaps for the LB position, and Kwon Alexander with 12%. The CB position was as bad, other than Terrion Arnold. It's very disappointing for those guys (not to mention us fans) for a 15-2 season to end that way. I listened to the whole Sirius XM training camp show in Detroit. Everyone they talked to is so dialed in. I think the press is sleeping on them, with Philly and Washington getting a lot of press. But I think the defense will be in the top ten and the offense will still put up a lot of points. 1 Quote
Motown Bombers Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Keep in mind that most of the Lions stars are in years 3-4. We may not have even seen the best from guys like Gibbs, Laporta, St Brown, Williams, Sewell, Hutchinson, Campbell, Arnold, Branch, and Joseph. You really only have guys like Decker and Reader who could be in for decline. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago The defense should be fine. The interior DL may takes its lumps against teams like Baltimore and Philly, but they have the DPOY betting favorite on the edge, Anzalone/Campbell behind them, one of the best safeties in the league deep, and two capable to good corners. Healthy, I agree that’s top five. It’s the offensive line that worries me. We are betting on a lot going right with Mahagony/Glasgow/Ratledge on the interior, and that’s not even accounting for Decker’s age. There may be games where we see Goff turtle so often we want to put a hole in the TV. Those games may happen with two guards who have nearly no collective NFL experience. Now if the OL is as good as last year, or even just a little bit worse, there is no reason we can’t make the Super Bowl. We could have last year before half the team fell off an injury cliff. 1 Quote
Jason_R Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Mahogany played very well in his limited action last year. I am not worried about him. And I think he and Ratledge are both the kind of dirtbags you want playing guard. They may both play ten years. But it will take a month or so for the IOL to gel. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago It's also a good sign how quickly Mahogany shot up the depth chart. He blew past Sorsdal who was drafted a year before him. I have a feeling Sorsdal doesn't make the roster. Quote
