IdahoBert Posted October 30 Posted October 30 I hate in-game dugout interviews, which I presume is the kind of thing that tickles the hearts of casual fans. Grrrr 1 2 Quote
IdahoBert Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Yesavage just decided to hit Freeman to keep them guessing. Quote

During the all star game, fine. Maybe in between half innings during a regular season game. But not in the middle of playoff action. 1 Quote

I'm just curious who the American posters of this board are rooting for. Are you guys pulling for Toronto? or LA? Or do you guys care either way? Just curious! A compelling game 5, 6, and 7. Quote
IdahoBert Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Yesavage is not afraid to pitch to Ohtani, but that diving catch in right pretty much saved him there Quote

They appear to be a team of destiny. The Dodgers have big player names but if a team gets hot for a week, they can be beat. Quote
IdahoBert Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Vlad coming up with 2 on and two out in the top of the seventh. This is pretty exciting. Quote

Sports_Freak Posted October 30 Posted October 30 That 18 inning loss for Toronto wasn't a crushing loss. It was an uplifting loss. Quote

guy incognito Posted October 30 Posted October 30 (edited) Tonight Yasavage became just the second rookie pitcher (after Don Newcombe in 1949) to throw 11 strikeouts in a World Series game. He’s also the second-youngest pitcher (after Smoky Joe Wood in 1912) to do this. He’s also also the first rookie pitcher in WS history to strike out five consecutive batters. And he’s broken Newcombe’s record with 12. Some kinda night for the kid. Edited October 30 by guy incognito 1 2 Quote

IdahoBert Posted October 30 Posted October 30 It would be wrong to root for more runs. It would be like dancing on someone’s grave. But if the Blue Jays score more runs in the top of the ninth, I won’t celebrate, but I won’t hang my head either. Quote
