Murray ruptured his Achilles at the end of January, so he is basically out all of this coming season. That leaves Alvarado and Fears as their two PG's and Fears is a rookie... Or they could REALLY want to tank this year and run out Sasser and Fears as their PG's. Just a thought... Quote

Just a thought... They don't have a first round pick in 2026. They just traded it away to move up and draft Queen, totally unprotected. They do not want to tank. Quote
1984Echoes Posted Wednesday at 01:46 AM Posted Wednesday at 01:46 AM Well that would create some difficulty... Quote

Deleterious Posted Thursday at 07:46 PM Author Posted Thursday at 07:46 PM The Athletic did a story about the most unflattering sports cards. Tobias was #1. I guess they give away part of a game worn uniform. The uniform is from his Clipper days and Bumble was their uniform sponsor. 2 Quote
RandyMarsh Posted Thursday at 09:19 PM Posted Thursday at 09:19 PM Lol There's no way that was an accident. I wonder if there is a demand for that card in the hobby because of that? Like the Billy Ripken "fck face card" in the 80s. Quote

The article said the owner of the card displays it at shows and lists it as not for sale. The Ripken card was #2 on the list. Quote
Deleterious Posted yesterday at 12:18 AM Author Posted yesterday at 12:18 AM My Herb Jones dream goes up in smoke. Pretty sure that means he can't be traded for 6 months. The Pelicans are going to be a wild team. So much mismanagement, but then they have a couple of gems. Herb Jones at 5 years and $97 million is a fantastic contract. Then they have Trey Murphy for 4 years and $112 million. That might be the best non-rookie contract in the entire league. Things are pretty bleak after that, though. Quote
Deleterious Posted yesterday at 12:22 AM Author Posted yesterday at 12:22 AM I want to crap on the Bulls before Buddha can. Patrick Williams will make $18 million per year for the next 4 years. Herb Jones will make $19.4 million for the next 5 years. 1 1 Quote
Betrayer Posted yesterday at 12:24 AM Posted yesterday at 12:24 AM Stealing Herb Jones or Trey Murphy away from NO would've been huge. Maybe Weaver has two brain cells left if he's keeping those two. Quote
Deleterious Posted yesterday at 01:14 PM Author Posted yesterday at 01:14 PM Pistons SL games should be on one of the ESPN channels. Someone also said FanDuel will also be broadcasting them. Quote
Shinzaki Posted yesterday at 02:37 PM Posted yesterday at 02:37 PM Saw a video of Duren working on his jumper facing the basket from the foul line out to 3. At least he knows what he needs to work on 1 Quote

Shinzaki Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Drum is a 50% shooter over his career...Duren is 65%. Not suggesting Duren is going to become a stretch big...but he's starting from a better spot than Drum Quote

But every offseason we get videos of players draining threes on an empty court. I wouldn't read too much into it. It's also just not a part of JB's system on offense. Stew is a perfect example of that fact. Quote
buddha Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago who is a better shooter next year? ausar or duren? Quote

Stew is a perfect example of that fact. I remember going to a game when McDyess was here, him and Ben were warming up shooting 20fters(would be outlawed nowadays) all around the court. McDyess seemingly made every one but Ben was making at least 75% as well, just looked so effortless but of course outside of some rare times it never translated to a game. It was at that point where I full understood just how good these guys are if left to shoot in practice scenarios and not to put much stock into how one looks in such situations. Deleterious Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago I saw the video of Duren practicing threes. It immediately reminded me why Detroit struggles so much in developing young players. Duren took 546 shots last year. 478 of them were within 5 feet of the basket. How about you get a 12 footer before you start practicing the most difficult shot in basketball. He doesn't need to start bombing away from three. That little 12 footer would do a lot to open things up for Cade and the offense. Quote
