Four and two-thirds of shutout ball while bequeathing only a runner on second is about as good a start as you can hope for from Keider Montero.

Define best...it's sure not his BA. Potential? Yeah, like you said, he's still young. He really needs to shorten up that swing to make more contact though.

Riley's batting average of .269 stands 54th of 169 qualified batters during a year where the whole league is hitting .245. That places him within the top third of all qualified hitters in baseball. Man, you have tough standards.

In any event, Riley knows there are he has to fix: https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/mlb/tigers/2025/05/31/detroit-tigers-riley-greenes-odd-dichotomy-career-high-production-career-high-chase-and-whiff/83966451007/

Riley Greene raises his batting average to over .270 with a booming double while failing to extend his league-leading strikeout total. 😉

You're a good man, Charlie Brown.

Very unpopular. He's on his way to a 4-win season, is second on the team in homers and RBI, and he's still only 24.

Is Sports_Freak right about anything ever? Dude is a walking bad take.

I want him to be the best he can be. He can be better against LHP than he has been this season which would make him an even better piece in the lineup.

I think he's working on being better, and will be better.
