This is ridiculous. They need to allow a taxi squad of 2 pitchers for each league in case of a tie. Sorry, but this is pretty stupid

I'd be happy calling it a 9-inning tie and going home. which I'm going to do, except I'm already home, so I'll just watch something else instead.

hopefully they just opted out or something and weren't actually passed over. sounded like the swingers may have been chosen before the game or something.

I didn't even watch the game.  I just checked in here now.  I care less about the allstar game than a spring training game. My concern is if they try doing this in regular season games.  You might say it will never happen, but who ever thought extra inning base runners would happen?

I thought it was fun to watch.  Pretty harmless way to end an exhibition game.

I will worry about that then but for now this was entertaining.  No pressure on saving pitchers and players.   It was a fun game tonight.  Great defense and baserunning.  It was a well played game and good showcase for the young talent.

I guess if the idea is to trivialize an exhibition game, and to make a point about how meaningless it is, this is just about the best way to do it.

So does this game technically go down in the record books as a tie instead of as an NL win?

I’m curious and I would be happier if it were a tie. Even a tie with an asterisk affixed to it would make me feel better. Although I’ll admit making a big deal about this is pretty lame.

The allstar game means nothing to me, but I see this as a trial to see how fans respond to it.  I don't trust Manfred at all.
