Tigeraholic1 Posted Saturday at 01:13 PM Posted Saturday at 01:13 PM Comerica Park - Detroit, MI Listen: 97.1 The Ticket Watch: FanDuel Det Game Time Forecast: 88 Partly Sunny Starters: RHP George Kirby RHP Casey Mize Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted Saturday at 04:10 PM Posted Saturday at 04:10 PM I can't imagine sitting in that sun on a day like today at Comerica Park. There are some storms working their way towards the tri-county area, but they won't last long. Quote
HugoD Posted Saturday at 04:24 PM Posted Saturday at 04:24 PM Kirby’s ERA a little inflated this year, but he’s been pitching well of late. Interestingly, his WHIP is pretty decent for the year and in line with career numbers. Think maybe ERA inflated by a significant HR rate. Perhaps he had a bad stretch earlier in year. All to say - he could be a challenge. However, if he’s been more prone to HRs, that could be an opportunity. We’ve been reliant on HRs more this year. Could use another good outing from Mize. Quote
GalagaGuy Posted Saturday at 05:17 PM Posted Saturday at 05:17 PM Line of strong rain just blew through Plymouth. Only lasted around 15 minutes, no thunder or lightning. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted Saturday at 05:17 PM Posted Saturday at 05:17 PM Holy cow!! It went to sunny and hot to a totally black sky and the trees bent over sideways. And now rain is coming down...sideways. spooky... Quote
IdahoBert Posted Saturday at 05:26 PM Posted Saturday at 05:26 PM A rain delay? How utterly uncommon and the only rain that’s occurring is right at the start of this game who would’ve thunk it? Quote
Sports_Freak Posted Saturday at 05:34 PM Posted Saturday at 05:34 PM Todd Jones got pretty emotional talking about his Tiger career and the history of our team. Showing the Ordenez walkoff that got us to a World Series and Ernie's farewell speech got to him. (Me too...sniff) It made me think how lucky I've been to see Al Kaline's 3000 hit and Cabrera's 3000th. Very special memories. 1 Quote
Toddwert Posted Saturday at 05:39 PM Posted Saturday at 05:39 PM it'll never not get dusty when i see magglios homerrun soooo many seasons of crappy baseball erased in one moment bonus i was at the game and i can still see that ball disappearing into the night and remember everyone just go crazy as soon as the ball left his bat Quote

I missed the full list, but was in person for #1 (Maggs walkoff HR) and #3 (Miggy’s 3K hit). Other notables at CoPa: CoPa opener, Weaver vs Guillen, Austin Jackson traded during the game. Quote

It's like the reason for all heartbreak, knowing that eventually the loyalty will be rewarded. Quote

I just got home after taking a walk in the botanical garden and up into the foothills of the Boise Front where once again I saw a solemn great horned owl sitting on a branch, nobly indifferent to my presence. Listened to the bottom of the First on the radio in my car. Too bad we couldn’t cash in on the bases loaded. This game is blacked out live for me. I’m presuming that Dan is doing the play-by-play on TV. Quote
Tenacious D Posted Saturday at 07:25 PM Posted Saturday at 07:25 PM Paws trolling Seattle with a “should have given the ball to Marshawn” sign behind home plate is awesome. Quote

IdahoBert Posted Saturday at 07:30 PM Posted Saturday at 07:30 PM It’s getting to the point that whenever there’s a situation with men on base or something critical needs to happen, I’m always more confident when Zach McKinstry is coming to bat. Quote
romad1 Posted Saturday at 07:34 PM Posted Saturday at 07:34 PM lazily watching while in our rental house... Need a win here. Quote
romad1 Posted Saturday at 07:35 PM Posted Saturday at 07:35 PM Mize is ready for the break it seems Quote
Sports_Freak Posted Saturday at 07:35 PM Posted Saturday at 07:35 PM Dan says they stole that base off of Mize. Let's just ignore the fact that Jake has thrown the ball into centerfield on both stolen bases. Quote
Toddwert Posted Saturday at 07:38 PM Posted Saturday at 07:38 PM got lucky randy fell down i thought he score easily Quote
