A discussion better suited for a Lions thread but the short answer is maybe. They may even be able to split with Rams and Cowboys and still make it. It’s not such a stretch that either Bears or Packers go 1-4 to finish. Quote

A win at Chicago at the end of season would give the Lions the tiebreaker and knock 1 game off the 2 game deficit. They would need to make up 1 game in the other 4 weeks. They’re 1.5 games behind GB not 2. They need to make up 2 games in 5 games and don’t need to worry about tiebreakers. They are 1 game behind SF. Could make up 2 games in 5 games on them. Might be best to root for Chicago the next 4 weeks - have them beat GB twice and SF once. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted November 29 Posted November 29 (edited) The Bears are a better team than the Lions this season, at this moment in time. They beat the Eagles, we **** the bed. I think they had an easier schedule, but that doesn't tell the whole story. I think right now they are also better coached under Ben Johnson than we are under Campbell. Our offense stalled out against Philly, they put up 24 points. It didn't take Ben Johnson one season to elevate the Bears rebuilding roster. Edited November 29 by Mr.TaterSalad Quote

But it sucks...all that talent in Detroit should make us the better team, at least record wise. Quote

No. The Lions lost, at home, to a weak Vikings team. The Cowboys are playing really, really good. And Stafford is having an MVP type season. Of course, it's sports and anything can happen. And I really hope I'm wrong. Quote

Teams that improve going into the playoffs matter much more than game results in September. Chicago leads the league in takeaways. Quote

Sports_Freak Posted November 29 Posted November 29 There's nothing more that I would like more than the Lions going 5-0 to end the season. Its just, I don't see it. Coaching, injuries and players not executing is why we're in 3rd place. We need to quickly straighten out as many of those problems as we can. Quote

It does matter, but record matters more. The Dolphins aren't a better team than the Bills just because they beat them. Other factors come into play. As of right now, the Bears are playing better than us. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted November 30 Posted November 30 $48 for the rest of the season Sunday Ticket. I went ahead and bought it, I decide what games to watch. And I refuse to watch the Vikings...lol Quote
Sports_Freak Posted November 30 Posted November 30 There goes Stafford's chance at an MVP award. 2 picks today, one a pick 6 and a lost fumble. He's human after all. Quote

Sports_Freak Posted November 30 Posted November 30 The Lions play the Steelers and Bears. The Bears are the leader in takeaways in the NFL, the Steelers are #2. Quote

I’m not nearly as hardcore as I used to be about opponents and rivalries but this not something a Lion fan should ever admit in a public forum. FTB Everyday FTB Always FTB 1 Quote
