Red Wings November 2025 Game Threads

Wings went 8-4 in October including 5-1 at home and 3-4 on the road. 

9 of 14 games in November will be at home.

It seems like Raymond is finally feeling almost 100% after his injury, he looked really good against the Sharks from what I saw

All teams in the Eastern Conference have between 13-18 points. Apart from Boston with 14 points in 14 games, all teams in the Eastern Conference have records better than a point per game. So the Wings have had an impressive first month but too early to have created much of a gap.

This team is STILL too 1st line dependent.

Larkin-Raymond-Finnie have 16 goals, 38 points, and a +17. (Plus, didn't Appleton have an assist and 2 goals on Larkin's line when Raymond was out?)

They need some help, IMO.

They always need more depth scoring for sure.  At least DeBrincat is heating up a bit and Kane might come back after this road trip.  For as much as I've said I didn't want them to re-sign Kane I miss him when he isn't on their power play.  The Wings apparently have been sniffing around depth forwards for a trade so maybe they add some punch somehow.

The second line for sure. Further down,  I'm fine with a Ras/Soderblom/VanRiemsdyk line doing nothing but checking hard and being hard to play against. And is seems for some reason playing with Soderblom brings out a little more physical in Rasmussen - or maybe the line assignment is just coincidental with McLellan letting him know he's on a short leash if he doesn't play harder.

What needs to happen for the Wings to end the night first in the NHL in points:

- Detroit beat Las Vegas

- Colorado lose in regulation to Tampa

- Montreal lose to Philadelphia

- Winnipeg lose to LA Kings

Wings down 1-0 after 2 periods in Vegas.  I haven’t watched a second so have nothing to say, but will watch the 3rd.

Wings finally got a full powerplay midway through the 3rd but apart from a chance by Finnie didn’t do much.

Looks like Eichel put the game away with a goal for 2-0 but it just got waived off for offside. Surprising stat: this was the Wings’ 17th consecutive successful offside challenge. 4:57 to go.

Wings had a chance in the final 20 seconds but fall 1-0.

Can’t decide if the Wings hung in this one or if the Knights just coasted.

Wings back home, down 2-1 to the Rangers late 2nd. 
A lot of alumni floating around, as there has been a fan fest these few days for the Wings’ 100th.
