Can you describe it please (I'm just trying to get at what you're thinking on this... not trying to be an ass...)? Meaning, how much time does he have before Yzerman tosses him out of our system? wallinder either makes the team next year or goes back to sweden/cements himself as an AHL player. he's 23. he'll be 24 when the season starts next year. that's make or break time. When he figures out that he REALLY DOES have to increase strength & toughness. It's also why I'd like him to get 10 NHL games this year, however/whenever that happens. I want him to know how far he needs to get to, to compete in the NHL... so that the light bulb may actually, indeed, get turned on. If he goes back to hiding in Sweden instead... Well... That would be disappointing. Quote

Seems about right for him... Quote

slothfacekilla Posted November 25 Posted November 25 I am not looking forward to the Quinn Hughes trade rumors, already seen a couple people mention Detroit lol Quote
slothfacekilla Posted Wednesday at 05:16 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:16 PM Feels like a loss to the lowly Preds tonight for some reason Quote
gehringer_2 Posted Wednesday at 06:41 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:41 PM One thing that is starting to move a little is that as loathe as they have been to give up on Rasmussen, he is finally running out of rope with McLellan. 1 Quote
slothfacekilla Posted Wednesday at 08:17 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:17 PM Part of me hopes that some of the scratching is to keep him from getting hurt so he'll be included in some trade (cmon some dumb gm has to see a tall first round pick reclamation project) but it probably is just that he sucks at the nhl level. He has the best face off percentage on the team, surely another team can fix him! Quote
buddha Posted Thursday at 12:44 AM Posted Thursday at 12:44 AM this team is really frustrating. tough to be without edvinsson. watching asp play defense can be painful. just a rookie, so we should expect that. 1 Quote
slothfacekilla Posted Thursday at 01:18 AM Posted Thursday at 01:18 AM Cat stays hot with a nice power play goal, 1-1 in the second Quote
slothfacekilla Posted Thursday at 01:19 AM Posted Thursday at 01:19 AM Soderblom has been making some solid plays tonight, getting more from him would be big Quote
buddha Posted Thursday at 02:59 AM Posted Thursday at 02:59 AM five third period goals to the worst offensive team in the league. at home. wtf with this team? Quote

slothfacekilla Posted Thursday at 06:27 PM Posted Thursday at 06:27 PM The Wings front office is notoriously tight lipped but we've still been hearing plenty of rumors that they're poking around in the trade market, I think he's trying. Outside of a couple teams, the standings are fairly tight so there might not be too many selling teams at this point of the season. Something needs to happen somehow though. At a minimum I would have said call up Lombardi but he got hurt. Maybe call up Cossa just to see him but maybe you don't want him behind this defense right now. I turned last night's game off pretty early on, with the way they were playing it didn't seem like they had a chance to win. The Wings really needed ASP to keep his hot start going (and for Edvinsson to be alive) if they wanted this group to look half-way solid every night. Crappy teams like the Predators look like worldbeaters on offense against them. But hey I had fun playing Arc Raiders last night, so that's cool. Quote
buddha Posted Friday at 06:08 PM Posted Friday at 06:08 PM another game, another defensive mistake leads to another goal. Quote
buddha Posted Friday at 06:15 PM Posted Friday at 06:15 PM is there another team in the league who ices the puck unnecessarily as much as the wings? Quote

No combination of the 3rd pairing has worked this year. Ya gotta get a top 4d man to push people down or get a stop gap bottom pair guy." Quote
slothfacekilla Posted Friday at 07:34 PM Posted Friday at 07:34 PM Turned this one off in the second as well. This team sucks. Quote

It doesn't seem to matter what Yzerman does, he can't seem to collect enough guys who handle the puck/and or skate well enough to play any kind of puck control game. It's like somewhere in the system they have a disease where as soon as their stick touches a puck they drop into slow motion and the only thing they can do before they are checked off the puck is make a dump/ice the puck.
