Brad Holmes is willing to overpay for unproven commodities in Broderic Martin and Isaac Tesla, but not an interior lineman when his team's offense is predicated on the oline. No one was suggesting they give up a first round pick for one, but rebuilding teams like the Browns and Jets might have been willing to make a trade at the right price. Did we get a media report of the Lions being after one? All I remember was the report saying we were inquiring about a defensive player from Cincinnati. Edited 9 hours ago by Mr.TaterSalad Quote
Sports_Freak Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago It looks like another year of Thanksgiving indigestion coming. Quote
RatkoVarda Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago was going to say Giants want it more; but that assumes Lions are even interested in this game Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Finally, Gibbs breaks a big play and we get the TD. PHEW!!! Quote
holygoat Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Nice! Get a stop here, and they'll be in position to take this game over. Quote

What if the price for a good O-lineman was a 1st rounder? What then? Your point about Holmes burning draft capital on draft reaches is solid, but it has nothing to do with acquiring an O-lineman at the deadline. Quote

TP_Fan Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago This defense is freaking awful. Big play after big play. Hutchinson is absolutely invisible right now. Quote
lordstanley Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago The defense has been as bad as the offense. Absolutely cannot allow a TD here. Quote
TP_Fan Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Hopefully Campbell doesn’t must kneel on it like he didn’t last week. Quote
TP_Fan Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Had to use the second time out. Would have had two shots at the end zone. The coaching errors are becoming tough to overcome. Quote
TP_Fan Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Two weeks in a row with just bizarre and awful clock management from Campbell. Kept a TO in his pocket again. Brutal. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago The offense is barely acceptable. The defense is totally unacceptable. Quote
holygoat Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Nice job getting the FG back. I feel decent about taking this game over in the 2nd half. Quote
Jason_R Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago It feels like the staff came out not confident in the offense and hoping the defense could play overly aggressive and come up with an early splash play. Did not work that way. It was good to see Gibbs break one. I still believe the offense needs to run more through Montgomery. He is capable of explosive plays too (70+ yarder vs. Ravens) and it feels like the offense gets swagger from blocking for him. Quote
TP_Fan Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Just horrible play calling out of halftime. Campbell is calling some really dreadful offense. And why aren’t we attempting a FG? It was a 60 yarder. Again, the coaching errors are becoming difficult to overcome. Quote
RatkoVarda Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago not sure Winston is delivering the ball so quickly. wouldn't it be better to hold onto the ball for a few more seconds and let the defense get to you? Quote
Sports_Freak Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Cool...Lions offense is better when they start deep in their zone. Quote

If the was the asking price and it gets accurately reported as such then I would agree with Holmes, depending on the player. If it's a top Gaurd, who is under 27-28, and could be under team control for a 3-4 seasons I might consider that. But in all likelihood, I'm not trading a 1st. We don't know if they even asked though. Edited 8 hours ago by Mr.TaterSalad Quote
