Sports_Freak Posted Thursday at 03:59 AM Posted Thursday at 03:59 AM If defense mattered in an All-Star game, Stewart would have to be seriously considered. The guy is a game changer... Quote
Deleterious Posted Thursday at 05:32 AM Posted Thursday at 05:32 AM Love Stew, but he isn't one of the 12 best players in the conference. Quote
Deleterious Posted Thursday at 05:35 AM Posted Thursday at 05:35 AM That is a game I expect Ivey to take over, and he never even showed up. 7 points on 2-5 shooting. He didn't take a shot inside the 3PT line tonight. 1 assist 3 TO's no blocks or steals. I have a feeling there are a lot of DNP-CD's in his future once the trade deadline passes. Quote

He can't beat anyone off the dribble anymore and without that speed he's just a poor defender who's solid at shooting catch and shoot threes (but not off the dribble). At this point I'd rather see Daniss, Sasser, or Chaz out there. On a related note, I was happy that I didn't have to watch LaVert play in this game. 2 Quote
buddha Posted Thursday at 06:56 PM Posted Thursday at 06:56 PM at this point they will probably re-up ivey after the season because he will be really cheap to re-sign. Quote

Maybe Ivey was one of those guys who was doomed to outgrow his pre-adult quickness when he got to his twenties, because a broken fibula is not an injury that should create that kind of deficit - unless there was more to it. The most likely scenario is he plays on his qualifying offer next season. It will be between $13 and $14 million, one year deal, he is an unrestricted FA after next season. We have half a season left so he could turn it around. But right now I couldn't imagine giving him a multi-year deal at $10 million per. He isn't worth it. Quote

Yeah, looking at NBA stats, he barely appears. I guess I'm just biased, but he's still one of my favorite players. And I really think he can be a huge difference maker. A throw back to the Bad Boy era. He woulda fit right in. 😆 Quote

Players must play in 65 games and play a minimum of 20 minutes in 63 of those games. That's not on average, it's for each individual game. Looks like he's already down 11 games of eligibility halfway through the season due to not being active (4 games), fouling out, or JBs weird lineups. Sadly, chances are he won't even qualify. 1 Quote
