Sports_Freak Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago If defense mattered in an All-Star game, Stewart would have to be seriously considered. The guy is a game changer... Quote
Deleterious Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Love Stew, but he isn't one of the 12 best players in the conference. Quote
Deleterious Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago That is a game I expect Ivey to take over, and he never even showed up. 7 points on 2-5 shooting. He didn't take a shot inside the 3PT line tonight. 1 assist 3 TO's no blocks or steals. I have a feeling there are a lot of DNP-CD's in his future once the trade deadline passes. Quote

He can't beat anyone off the dribble anymore and without that speed he's just a poor defender who's solid at shooting catch and shoot threes (but not off the dribble). At this point I'd rather see Daniss, Sasser, or Chaz out there. On a related note, I was happy that I didn't have to watch LaVert play in this game. 2 Quote
buddha Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago at this point they will probably re-up ivey after the season because he will be really cheap to re-sign. Quote

Maybe Ivey was one of those guys who was doomed to outgrow his pre-adult quickness when he got to his twenties, because a broken fibula is not an injury that should create that kind of deficit - unless there was more to it. The most likely scenario is he plays on his qualifying offer next season. It will be between $13 and $14 million, one year deal, he is an unrestricted FA after next season. We have half a season left so he could turn it around. But right now I couldn't imagine giving him a multi-year deal at $10 million per. He isn't worth it. Quote
