Yes, I was saying that to a friend yesterday. The Wings picked Larkin #16 overall. The Wings picked Kasper #8, Danielson at #9, MBN at #15 and Bear at #13.  The success of the rebuild is dependent upon one of those four turning out as well as Larkin and another of four turning out as well as a Mantha/Bertuzzi/Nyquist. If instead they end up like Svechnivkov (#19), Cholowski (#20), Rasmussen (#9), Zadina (#6) then we are doomed. Given that Yzerman hit on 3 straight - Seider #6, Raymond #4, Edvinsson #6 - I am cautiously optimistic, but those all were higher picks.

I think someone has to tell Kasper he is better than he thinks he is. Guy seems to have a lot of tools but aside from being a strong checker he's playing to much of a "don't make mistakes game"  instead of a 'lets win the game' game. I guess you might say the same about Ras, but Kasper is already stronger on his skates and plays a more physical game than Ras ever has. In fact maybe they need to tell Marco "we don't need you to lead the team in hits, make more plays."

kasper has been a massive disappointment.  danielson too, to a lesser degree.

those guys are both top ten picks and they havent come close to the impact of seider/raymond/edvinsson.

This is like much of the Montreal game and like the Boston game. The Wings surge as the better team, but can't finish. 1-0 Sens eight minutes into the 2nd.

2-0 Ottawa. To add the insult to injury, I only get the Sens tv feed and every time they score the PBP lady gives a high-pitched goal call. 3-0!

I felt they needed to get 6 of 8 pts on this homestand, ideally 7. Got 4 in the first 2 games but looking like 0 in the next 2 games.

Keep in mind, Sanderson and Chabot are out of the lineup for the Senators.

Disappointing. Another game they get a goal disallowed by inches. Multiple posts. Some great chances turned away. Some questionable calls. But they just aren’t that difficult to play against. They aren’t abrasive.

This team always disappoints...Short of a change at the top and a complete reset...not sure what the answer is

Right, and they shouldn't have two of their few offensive threats DeBrincat and Larkin taking the physicality into their own hands too late and taking themselves off the ice with penalties when needing a goal with 8 seconds too late.
