Quite a few similarities between OKC and Detroit.

Both tabs emphasize defense. Both teams are deep and always play hard. I think OKC has more talent on their roster.

The league would be in a great spot if all teams gave the same effort every game that OKC and Detroit give.

I couldn't stay awake to watch any sports last 😴 night. I made it thru the 1st quarter of the Pistons and then thru the 1st innings of JV. But looking at the box score of the Piston game, the free throw disparity and our terrible % of the calls we DID get looks like it may have been the difference in the game. Overall, a terrible sports night for Detroit fans. 😒😒

The Pistons win this game if they MAKE some of their free throws... or at least more than the 12 of 23 (52% YEEGADS!!!) they shot last night.

I watched the whole game. The Pistons, down 5 of their top players, should have beat SGA and his Thunder.

IMO.

really hope the NBA and the PA are trying to reach Ivey now.

(and I wonder how much the Pistons knew that he was either a complete religious nut or even just a regular nut, and they were happy to be rid of him for any price)

And why such a large disparity? The home team getting all the calls?

Like Buddha said, SGA gets a crazy whistle.

In 64 games he has attempted 530 FT's.  In 61 games Cade has attempted 310

I guess so. Just last night, SGA had 25 free throws. The entire Piston team had 23 free throws. That's the ballgame right there.

No.

It wasn't.

That was my point.

Even WITH the FT disparity... (that was definitely a hometown-friendly or SGA-friendly or even BOTH-friendly whistles... quite a bit ridiculous in fact...)

The Pistons STILL could have won, in regulation, by making 5-6 more of THEIR free throws and not shooting 52% at the FT line.

THAT is what lost them the game... not making their OWN FT's.

IMO.

Either...or. A few less calls against us ends up the same thing. And yes, just making the FTs that were called definitely would have won the game for us. But even with the missed free throws, a couple of calls going the other way ends up with the exact same result. A winnable game...and Boston lost. I guess that's our saving grace, another game off the magic number.

Right...

But sometimes, a team just can NOT defeat the referees...

So I always have it in my mind to win the game DESPITE what the ref's are doing or calling...

That's hard to do when the refs are favoring one guy over everyone else (sort of like the LeBron calls of old or the Kobe calls or the...); but I want a tough-minded team that can overcome obstacles like this. NO one is going to change how the ref's bias their calls except for the league making them do so... or they take it upon themselves to change the way they are calling the game. Good luck with that one...!

And the Pistons nearly DID so! They nearly beat the Refs/ SGA/ Thunder DESPITE the favor-one-guy-only calls...

If they'd have only hit a few more of their FT's.

IMO.
