So through four innings, the pitch count is high for Jack, but he’s allowed no runs and struck out six.

This is the point where nobody should sit with him in the dugout and act like he’s pitching a no hitter or something. He’s at 75 pitches and this is the point where he usually unravels.

So after 5 innings, Jack has allowed no runs, walked 1, K’d 6 and thrown 90 pitches. Now Brad Ausmus would just leave him in to “build his confidence“ or something like that and the result would be disaster. I’m hoping here that Hinch is not Brad Ausmus.

Nice going Riley. It would be nice to see his home run swing return, and I don’t mean constantly going for a moonshot on the golf course, but just hitting the ball over the fence a little more.
