IdahoBert Posted Saturday at 12:09 PM Posted Saturday at 12:09 PM A Saturday afternoon game? Sweet! Montero, the starter. Don’t let him go past 70 pitches! When the club unloads him for three washed up relievers at the deadline and a handful of magic beans we want him at full strength! oh, I know we’re optimistic again- sorry. Ingrained habits die hard. If Montero matches Valdez’ pitching from last night, he’ll struggle to get through the 4th. Quote

chasfh Posted Saturday at 04:59 PM Posted Saturday at 04:59 PM That’s as solid a batting order as I’ve seen in a long time. Consequently, they’ll get shut out on two hits. 😉 Quote

monkeytargets39 Posted Saturday at 05:17 PM Posted Saturday at 05:17 PM Is there not a rule that Arozarena can’t stand there when he’s on deck? Quote
chasfh Posted Saturday at 05:18 PM Posted Saturday at 05:18 PM Surprised they didn’t overturn that because it looked like Rodriguez hit the bag before the ball settled in the back on Tork’s glove, but my question is, did Tork stretch the right way for the throw? He was not at full extension and also he was stretching on an angle, and not directly toward the throw. Looked like a footwork fail to me. Quote
IdahoBert Posted Saturday at 05:20 PM Posted Saturday at 05:20 PM Montero tallied only 11 pitches in that first inning. Good. Strikeouts are fascist. Quote
chasfh Posted Saturday at 05:21 PM Posted Saturday at 05:21 PM Also, how is Seattle out of challenges already? Is it one and done in the first inning or something? Or did Benetti fumble that one? Quote
IdahoBert Posted Saturday at 05:22 PM Posted Saturday at 05:22 PM I thought you had two challenges on play in the field. Quote

chasfh Posted Saturday at 05:34 PM Posted Saturday at 05:34 PM I think Riley could have stayed on his feet for that one. Quote
chasfh Posted Saturday at 05:37 PM Posted Saturday at 05:37 PM Either Parker or Javy catch that ball to CF. 1 Quote

IdahoBert Posted Saturday at 05:50 PM Posted Saturday at 05:50 PM Carp, Greene, and Tork all K’d swinging in the bottom of the second. At least they didn’t K watching it go right down the middle of the plate so I consider this better than that alternative. Quote

People get mad when I bring up trading him—-but he is very unathletic (at least when it comes to running) and I fully expect him to age very poorly. We should both not extend him and also trade him at the height of his value unless the long term plan is going to be DHing him. He is one lower body injury away from catastrophe IMO. Quote

RedRamage Posted Saturday at 06:09 PM Posted Saturday at 06:09 PM Out of challenges in the 3rd... not good. Lead off triple that seems likely to not score. We're so back baby! Quote
