IdahoBert Posted July 19 Posted July 19 It didn’t seem to make much of a difference to Kevin, but I hope we don’t have any more players than just Kevin who “have not seen this guy’s stuff…“ Quote

monkeytargets39 Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Mize has cost himself A LOT of money with these injuries this year Quote
motownblues Posted July 19 Posted July 19 The hitting disappears to often for the Tigers to go anyehere. 1 Quote
Crazy Cat Gentleman Posted July 19 Posted July 19 awesome. need at least one more heroic, though. Quote
IdahoBert Posted July 19 Posted July 19 I was trying to listen to this in the car, but my car in Idaho was linked to AT&T towers with an IP address in Phoenix so the mlb.com app kept telling me I had no account and I needed to subscribe to the Arizona Diamondbacks for something like $20 a month plus $24.99 a month for mlb.tv. Man, I hate MLB. Finally when I got away from the area of the mall that has a 600 MBPS download speed link to Phoenix and was connected to a local tower I was able to listen to Riley‘s home run, and then the Tigers losing. Philosophically speaking, winning a series on the road, especially on the West Coast, is a big deal because the team has historically struggled on these West Coast trips. But color me disappointed anyway… 1 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted July 19 Posted July 19 The TV said Mize left because of getting hit on the wrist but also because of groin tightness. Another month off for Casey? Quote
IdahoBert Posted July 19 Posted July 19 When I was finally able to listen to this game on the radio, they mentioned that Carpenter had not had a hit in the last nine games… Holy cow… that’s Jones territory… Quote

I guess giving Melton extra rest? Or skipping him? Limiting his innings, I guess. I'm sure Jobe will also be very, very limited. Quote
IdahoBert Posted July 19 Posted July 19 I guess when you’re baseball player, you get sort of tough about stuff, but if I was interviewed on TV and had to repeatedly talk about my “groin“ I might be a bit sheepish about it… Quote
romad1 Posted July 19 Posted July 19 I'm convince that a first inning with 1 run is the least predictive of a win. You often get that run and then they lock it down. Quote
