When is Jackson Jobe going to pitch for the Tigers this year?   Mid August?

We don't need more pitching as much as we need more hitting

Bullpen blows it again

I’ll give Waguespack the benefit of the doubt since he’s been solid and still was aside from the HR, but I don’t know how Finnegan gets so much leverage time.  4.70 FIP, 5BB/9 to 7K/9.  1.49 WHIP.  He’s been flukish with guys on base, but the metrics don’t support him being much more than a mop up role this year.

Perhaps the hope that he will WAKE up and return to last year's form.

Today illustrates why I'm firmly in the trade for hitting camp.   IF there is an offer made of an OF or two that can hit, Harris should make the deal.  We have some pitching depth, we lack hitting even with Gleyber back and Javy isn't likely to solve the problem.

Well, when he does come back - if he starts  - he needs to prepare himself for the fact that he'll have to throw a near-perfect game to get a W with this lineup.

That will be really hard to do on a very strict pitch count.

An OF (or two) and some RP.  Baez will be a nice addition in terms of defense and flexibility with giving guys a day off.  His bat at the bottom of the lineup actually might be an improvement, in particular if he takes over in CF.

Well, even in his 4 or 5 innings he'll have to be near-perfect.     This lineup is so inconsistent.  They'll have a little phaze when they score a bunch and you think they've turned a corner and then BAM,  back to what we've seen in this Royals series so far.     Needed great pitching to win those first two and Lee and Green were pretty much the whole offense in the third game.

I think Hinch will use Jobe outta the BP if we stand pat in trades. And I really don't expect much from him this season.
