IdahoBert Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Hope Valdez can keep the ball on the ground and in the park today. Quote
IdahoBert Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Oh, it’s a night game? Well of course that makes sense in Sacramento. And here I was expecting to watch a game in three or four hours or so. Quote

romad1 Posted August 1 Posted August 1 remember we were all excited by an early season McGonigle AB that went on for 10 minutes. It is good to have hope for the future. Sure beats, watching old players breaking down from injuries all the time. 1 Quote
IdahoBert Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Our announcing staff last night kept talking about Max Clark and his “flamboyant“ social media presence, etc., etc. etc. This is something I know nothing about. I’m already developing carpal tunnel in my left hand from holding my phone eight hours a day. I don’t need any more screen time. There’s all sorts of platforms I’ve avoided not because I think I’m above it all - because I’m not. I am imperfect, and I’ve already fallen down into enough rabbit holes and other various wonderlands that I can’t add anymore. This place being one of them. Quote

On the twitterz "flamboyant" would equal 8 posts in July all baseball related. Most team/individual highlights. Quote

lordstanley Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Tampa shuts out the White Sox 1-0. The Tigers are 6.0 games behind 1st in the Central, with a chance of course to cut that to 5.5 games with a win tonight. Quote
DTroppens Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Trade Skubal and try to get in the playoffs without him. 1 Quote

IdahoBert Posted August 1 Posted August 1 So the newest article on mlb.com from a hour ago says the Tigers appear not to be in a hurry to trade Skubal. I’m not leaving a link because if you don’t know how to look this up on your own you don’t deserve to be here. Quote
holygoat Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Define "not in a hurry" in the context of the deadline being less than 48 hours away? It's wild, though, because I expected there would've been more movement in general than we've seen to this point. Quote
IdahoBert Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Call third strike was not a strike on Gleyber. It was pretty close though. Quote
