Alright, alright, might as well end this losing stuff and get a win today.

Dingler sitting at a .623 OPS the last two weeks.  Might be another DH day or maybe just a complete day off?  It’s understood how much he means to this lineup offensively and defensively.  But they can’t run the risk of wearing him down in crunch time.  This is a big series, sure, but there’s plenty of season left after today.  The Tigers pretty much control their own playoff destiny now, they’ve played themselves back into it.  It doesn’t mean they’ll stay there, but right now it seems the long game is maybe of more importance than today’s game.

You may be right, although the problem is that Dingler is also our best defensive catcher, and by a long shot. At some point we might consider getting a true catch-and throw backup guy.

Brett Callahan has the face of a ballplayer from an earlier era, an Irish wise guy from Philly.  He could probably win the respect of Adduci if he hasn't already.

I feel like three straight triples to start your career would be a lot more impressive
